My cats like to move them after a week or so. Sometimes, they move them 3 or 4 times. You did right for your situation. Once she starts weaning them, you may see her bring them up to eat. God bless you.

Mama cats are supposed to clean their kittens, but the areas still develop a smell a predator can track. They move their kittens often unless they have human help.

Chances are that she has moved them. Her best defense against predators is to move them periodically. Could something have happened ? Yes, however if something had happened she would have gone back to her old patterns. Get her to roll over like she always does with you and it will be fairly obvious if she is still producing milk and nursing.

Yeah she kept in safe close area then after week or so they start moving around and the scent will get strong and She will continue to Move em so their Scent don't draw in Predators and Mama Cat is Ferocious and she would have some marks if Predators were the reason

She probably looked for higher ground. It's to bad you couldn't of made something for her that sat up high from predators she would of loved. You can Google or KZbin to find some maybe she will come back. Just put some cat food in it.

Yes; when I fostered a mom cat (she had only one kitten) it was like "musical kitten" for the first three or four weeks, she moved it so many times. Every time anything happened that made her nervous, like a loud noise from outside, an unfamiliar human visiting, etc. I kept them confined to my bedroom though as I had another resident cat that the mom didn't want near them, so it wasn't that hard to find where she put the kitten when she moved it.

Happy Resurrection Day. With my experience with feral cats they like to move the babies around for cleanliness and protection. May go days with seeing them but as long as she still comes around is a sign they are close by. You do an awesome job with your animals. ✝️🙏❤️🕊🐇🐣🌷

She probably moved them. But when you are holding her, check her tummy to see if she still has milk. Being extra hungry, is a sign that she still has them somewhere, and as they are growing, she needs more food. So there is still hope. Happy Easter! 🐣🐥🐰 Prayers for Charlie and all in need. Miss Kitty started her litter in an area that kept the newborns in a confined area while they were blind and helpless. It is perfectly normal for her to move them to a new area with more room for growing kittens to creep and crawl and build muscles. Their eyes and ears will be opening soon encouraging them to explore more, so the woodpile was no longer their best place. ❤

Since Miss Kitty hasn't been following you around for the chores as she had been doing, I think it's a safe bet that she has taken her kittens to another place, and later they'll begin to follow her up to her food bowls. As for the goats, they seem to be particular to certain tree-bark, wonder which type of tree it is, just for the sake of curiosity. :) The little chicks are precious!

Miss Kitty probably moved them as it is about time for them to open their eyes in a few days. In another week or so they will start playing and you'll see or hear them. The log was very close quarters and its likely that she has moved them somewhere a bit bigger as they have gotten bigger. Momma cats usually have numerous sites prepared and will regularly move the kitties.
