Also to note about prince Philip, born in Greece fled into exile in an orange crate, his mother sent to a mental hospital after the breakdown of her marriage and later she moved back to Greece and saved a Jewish family from being sent to there death and is now buried in Israel, with a memorial and honour as a righteous among nations, for her endeavours. He was taken from his mother as a little child and sent to a school in Germany and in 1934 fled after his Jewish teacher fled to Scotland and founded the gordonstoun school, which he was one of the first students, and has now become a school for many royals. Then he joined the royal navy and saved his ship whilst under attack. This man did have one fault and that was his way to say the most politically incorrect things, but one thing he was not was racist. This man was a man without a nation, but has become a great Britain.

This has been an emotional day, since midday The BBC channels and ITV have all been showing royal biography of HRH prince Philip. I don't think the country knew how important he was to the country until we lost him. His work with WWF as one of the creators of the world most important environmental charities. Work with British science and industry and his duties as a war hero for the country. This man born without a nation should very much be considered as one of the most important men of Britain in the last hundred years. Today has made me scared for losing the queen, a thought I have never considered, as she is and has been all my life the light and guide for our country.

JT: Prince Philip was known for his wit and sense of humour and was famous for his public gaffes. He had also been a military officer. He served in WW2 and witnessed the surrender of the Japanese during the conflict. However, above all, he loved and supported his Queen. He was always by her side and, as Her Majesty once said, was her rock. They met when they were teenagers and he was the love of her life.

I love the British Bulldog ornament. I don't know if anyone else mentioned it previously, but Winston Churchill was nicknamed the British Bulldog for his tenacity and loyalty to our country and people during WWII, and British Bulldog ornaments with our flag are in honour of him. The English Bulldog breed are known for being the sweetest gentlest animals - most will allow toddlers to climb all over them and they'll sit there just loving the attention - but they're also incredibly loyal and fiercely protective, especially of children. Try playing tug of war with them though and you'll never win 😁

I have that exact same Celtic (pronounced Keltic) Nations flag on my freezer! Going clockwise, from top left, the nations represented are... 1/. Brittany (the black & white stripes & Ermine cantons (the cross and spikey-bottomed thingies)), which is a region of northwestern France (where my maternal ancestors are from, my paternal being from Scotland, so I'm pure Celt, thru & thru). 2/. The Isle of Mann. 3/. Scotland. 4/. Wales. 5/. Cornwall (an area in the extreme southwest of the UK). 6/. Ireland. The northwest of Spain also has the legacy of 5 Celtic nations, but they're less often mentioned (Galicia, Asturias, Norte de Portugal, Cantabria & Galicia). I'll get a Breton (Brittany) flag in the post to you sometime soon! An idea as to what to do w/yr ever-growing flag collection: As they're all so lightweight, you could cover an entire ceiling with them, just staple them up there! 20:00hrs is 8pm.
