I have been reviewing the Defendants' (in the UK trial) expert report that was NOT permitted into evidence - and the impact this may have had, if it had been - given the arguments in the US trial that photographs had been edited/enhanced/manipulated.

The legal profession will circle the wagons so that their profession isn't brought into disrepute. You frequently hear this guy say 'with the greatest respect to the learned judge..." etc. He cannot and will not criticise and suggest the judge is biased in any way or for any reason. It is precisely what happens in the House of Commons also where every MP is considered 'honourable' and anyone suggesting otherwise, in the house, gets a demand to withdraw and apologise or be removed. It doesn't matter whether it's obvious or proven truth that an MP is lying. Bottom line is the system is a crock of shit and we're all doing nothing about it. Therefore, we're in the state we are globally and we're getting shafted by a mafia. Fact. I listen to this guy (and others) now and then simply because they are in the system and propping it up. I wouldn't trust them an inch, however. I once had a smarmy Barrister in the Royal Courts of Justice in London who laughed when I said I was representing myself. By the end of the day, it wasn't him who was laughing and his entire demeanour toward me changed when I dropped the 'bomb' which 'killed' him.

It was my understanding that she never turned over her phones, computers, etc.. for forensic verification even though she was court ordered. This makes any photos provided by her are suspect.

Sharon, it was still stamped from where and when it came from... it was shown in court and the stamps were still shown, it was in fact the reason theg were proven to have been editted and some taken at exactly the same time(verifying their being identical). They sti had verification.

Not sure if you're aware, but the reason much of the photographic evidence was thrown out is because AH and her team gave mostly 3rd generation photos. Taken on one device sent to another and then another .It corrupted the ability to decipher the metadata. There's a document submitted by JDs analyst floating around that states this. He said one pic came back as being taken of AH in 1978. She wasn't alive then. LoL. She really didn't want those pics analyzed.

Because the UK judge was “judging” through the lense of “Was the evidence substantial enough for the Sun to believe they were real enough for them to not be liable for defamation”. He wasn’t looking to see the viability of the evidence itself. He just needed to know that the “wife” provided the evidence and made these claims. And she did! So it follows that the Sun had every right to print what they printed simply because they have a right to report on claims like this. It was HER claim, not theirs. People give too much stock to this case. All it was about was “did the Sun defame JD”. And they didn’t. Because they were just reported Amber Heards statements and “evidence”. That why they had her in as a witness. To show that the claims came from her, the “wife” and not from them. They’re a gossip rag! They have a right to post these kind of claims and they don’t have to look deeper. So neither the Sun or the judge was looking to check the validity of her claims, just that she made them. That’s all. It’s pretty much that simple. That’s why this case isn’t really that important. The US case was important. Because that is where AH evidence was actually scrutinized.

The rumor is that they sided with The Sun due to connections. They didn't really care for Amber, just who ever they were connected with in The Sun. So if the judge was rigging the trial, it was to protect The Sun, NOT Amber- despite what she and Elaine keeps spouting.

It is thoroughly corrupt from the writing of legislation, through police/official rules, the courts. The worst aspect of it is that it requires everyone holds it high esteeem, then that it is contributing to a better society, that its processes and decisions are necessary and proportionate. It is evil, doesn't create proportionate results, it destroys lives. It's hugely biased against men, yet, lying, abusive, manipulative females get away with it all the time.

The system is ok, it's just that some judges can be biased. The judge should have declared his interest in the outcome and recused himself. Also the case wasn't about Amber, she was just a witness, so much evidence wasn't allowed in.

Her memory was of just looking at the pictures she created, with the bruise on the left side of the picture as she looked at it.. The UK trial was a travesty and I wondered at the time how the judge could justify his ridiculous findings given the evidence he was presented with. I soon found out both how and why he came to his conclusions. Not only via his families personal links to the defendants, but also by his sheer refusal to acknowledge any evidence that painted AH in a less than favourable light. He'd made up his mind from the outset and was unwilling to listen to anything contrary to that. As someone from the UK I was bitterly disappointed in our judicial system as I'd previously somewhat naively thought it to be in the upper echelons of legal systems.

They also edited the photo with Johnny and the kid during the VA trial. They made the photo much darker than the original to make him look bruised, so they could say he headbutted amber. You can find the original online though, with no bruise and no where near as dark as they presented in court. Amber’s team is so shady, i can’t believe they’re allowed to be practicing law

It's amazingly simple to show that the two pictures are the same, and one is adjusted. Copy one photo onto the other, in Photoshop. Then impose one on to the other and change the blend mode to Subtract. This subtracts data in one image from the other. What you got is a black photo. This means the two photos are the same, while one is more saturated, and the other is not. No photographer in the world could get the same subject into such an exact match down to hair details if the photos were taken at separate times or places. Try it, it's impossible.

Exactly. I am not a photographer, but I am an artist and I use photography a lot. It is not at all possible to get the exact same photo twice. Even if someone intentionally tried to capture the same photo and they were an amazingly talented a photographer, it will never be exactly the same.

And it also suggests that when Amber argued with Camille about missing Metadata on the two photos, she knew all about what had been done and how. She was involved in that. The Metadata testimony had already been brought up by the expert. She was trying to look smart and use it as an excuse for not knowing the pictures. I don't think she knew about the Metadata before. Someone else might have but wasn't able able to scrubby. We learned a lot about it during the trial of how to get around the Metadata. I'm sure many pictures will be questioned, if taken on cell phones.

I thought it was really funny when a graphic design specialist decided to figure out if the photos were enhanced, sat down to do a big long video on reverse-engineering it it, turned the saturation up to 50% and was like "Uh, well...um...ok...we're done. That's it. That's all I needed to do I guess? Turn the saturation up 50%? Well, there you have it folks, they were edited...like and subscribe..." Amber is definitely not a photoshop genius.

It is possible to alter photos taken on any phone with built in editing software. Altering the colour saturation or white balance alone can change how a photo look drastically. Add to that the make-up she used, allegedly, to cover the bruises could also be used to 'high light' fake injuries.

Are you kidding. Anyone can edit photos on their phone or off their phone. You don't need a PhD in Photoshop to edit photos but the way she edited it is sloppy and amateurish. Just boosting saturation and shadows is a 30 second job and it shows. It's too red and not how photos look like coming out of the phone. Anyone can spot the from a mile away.

Another issue for me is the text JD sent "apologising" after an alleged incident. AH's team use this as proof he is guilty of her claims. However as AH herself said during the interview. The abused will often take the blame for things they have no right taking the blame for in an attempt to placate to abuser. Things that make you go hmmmmmm.

I think Camille should have qualified her question about editing the photos to Amber to include "anyone else" at the time. She asked Amber in cross-examination, as I recall "YOU edited these photos, didn't you?" (or words to that effect) and of course Amber answered "No I did not". A better version of the question should have been "You OR SOMEONE ELSE edited these photos...? Because Amber would certainly argue SHE hadn't technically lied, if "SOMEONE ELSE" had done the editing work FOR her!

I had the impression, that the two different experts have had different "material" to analyse. The second one from AH seemed to have more pictur etc. Can that be? AH had not given all evidence to the court, but is it possible that the expert had this "evidence". I would like to see the UK jugdement "corrected", just for all survivor and misstreaded poeple. All what JD had suffort will not be undone, but it will set a light for future trials, with no celebreties.

The expert she brought at the US trail did have different "material". Her expert had the laptop and phone to analyze while JD's only got them via email links to back-ups of back-ups. Also even if both got the same "material" to examine it still doesn't comply with the court orders. They needed to be brought to the experts in a specific way. Completely agree. Heard (turd) not believable at all; mentally, physically abused, molested at a young age and lost virginity at 17 by violent rape by then boyfriend. Everyone who ever lived with abuse knows the way she behaved in the courtroom was inconsistent with abuse survivors. I have been with my husband 30+ years and married 27 of those. I have never shared full details. In therapy I did not share full details and had to use these vibrating hand held devices, designed to reduce anxiety, when touching the surface of what I experienced. My spouse and children say I lack affection. To this day “cuddling”, hugging makes me uncomfortable and feel trapped. I am 51, was completely on my own as soon as I graduated high school. Gifts are how I can show love, anything physical causes fight or flight results. Any confrontations lead to me disassociating and fleeing. I do not speak or make eye contact. I could have never looked at my abusers/rapist in a courtroom, I would have struggled to even look at my attorney. No way could I look at my rapist or molesters or anyone else in a courtroom. To this day, approaching 52, my mind cannot go there. The whole thing seemed like she thought she was on stage. I have never seen a Depp or Heard movie. My interest came from wanting Depp’s abuse, as a man, to be heard and to see if people could get past the stereotypes. What Depp did, clear his name aside, was to open minds and make the public (men) free to express that they are abused as well. A precedent that needed to be set for a lot of men. Hopefully this opens doors and brings awareness, leads to shelters and protection of men. I won’t be watching previous Depp movies to give those production companies any of my money. I will be seeing any new movies of his that come out. They won’t be my type (John Wick, anything Jason Stratham or Liam Neeson), the point will be to do what I can as a singular person to support Depp. He has more than earned a new fan.

There is no swelling, just a redness to her cheek, and AH herself admitted she had a “bruise kit” even though she rephrased it as “that’s what I call the make up kit used to hide bruises”, but a KZbinr showed an actual theatrical bruise kit in one of AHs staged photos, so it seems like the enhanced photos were just the icing on the cake.

I went on line and checked out theatrical and Sci-fi make up. Of course there's a wheel along with other make up, wax I think or clay, and a How to use book. Note: Side note on product... The most professional kit there is. And there were pics of diseased face, beat up face, The company just might make some extra money from all this crap.

Something I still do not understand. Why Amber's legal team let the edited pics be included in evidence ? It was obvious some of them were alterated or identical, without even looking at the metadatas. Is it not their work to check every documents to not be challenging on them ? Is it not damaging for both the credibility of their client and their professional reputation to not provided or collaborated with a metadata expertise. A lot of money has been spent for the trial, some of them on loony or not reliable experts. Can not few more thousands dollars be used to confirm the authenticity of the pictures, which are very important pieces of evidence for some of them ?

What stood out to myself in each photograph shown, is that there is always a lack of swelling, open wounds or the various colours of bruising to the areas which have been claimed to be injured. As someone who has been a victim of an assault, what I see on AH is nothing at all like how I appeared. When viewing these photographs on my telly in which I received a close-up view, these 'injuries' appeared more like make-up than any injury I have witnessed. It would be quite easy to recreate these alleged injuries with make-up which would save all this going back and forth with metadata questions and analysis. When discussing this one particular photograph of AH with a friend, I was able to describe step by step how each area was recreated. When you look at the photograph of AH outside of the Court when she obtained her Restraining Order, the area of the cheek which is discolored does not connect with the eye discolouring and it's quite strange that this does not go any further above the brow bone which is a prominent area that should have shown swelling plus discolouration. The fact that the cheek injury, another prominent area, doesn't connect with what is going on with the eye definitely raises suspicion with myself. Something the size of a telephone is going to strike, with the most force, the most prominent areas of the face. Yet in AH's case, it's a mish/mash of three areas which do not add up. Also, when her eye was closed, it showed a patch of skin on the eyelid where there is no discolouration, just like when eye make-up wears off after blinking for a period of time. Whoever allegedly recreated this 'injury' did not do a very professional job, as I could do this without being a trained Make-up Artist. Just looking at the cheek itself, it isn't all bruised the same as you'd expect from an injury the day before but encompasses a patch of redness, which would have subsided after this length of time, and a patch of brown which does not make sense as being from the same injury that occurred at the same time. In any photographs of Amber, there is never realistic bruising nor the colours we receive over the time from when the bruise comes to the surface. If metadata is going to be researched, then so should the prospect that these injuries could in fact be make-up.🇦🇺🕊

The Real Laura B has, as far as I'm aware absolutely all the documents. Les at SEC, Dan at CGS, Stevie J Raw, and TUG have all gone through these docs. They also have what is known as 'The Andy Files' in which he (Andy) literally dismantles, all of her photos down to the half millimetre, all of her documentation, text messages, and gives blow by blow accounts within time lines showing that 'scenes' were changed and evidence created, even down to a picture of a bruise as she poses next to a calendar with the wrong year on it.

I agree. This case made me remember my friend's mother who was a victim of DV and how her face looked. It was very different. For a start there was actual swelling that changed the look of her face. The bruises were a dark, purply-red. It took weeks for them to fade and still she had to wear sunglasses for a month or so more. She was also destroyed emotionally. She burst into tears at everything. Mainly she hid away and saw only her daughter (and me because I was her daughter's friend and a non-judging child). Sad memories. My friend once spotted her father in a shop several years later when I was with her. We ran out and she was upset for weeks after. That is DV.

Interesting that some of the info didn't make it into the UK report, even on evidence that was available. I think this one and the wine bottle one are the most telling because who spills wine and drops a bottle in the exact same way twice? The liquid is simply going to run in slightly different ways because of minor differences each day, if they were different days. And much has been made over how the small wisps of hair are going to be in different places after Amber hypothetically moves to turn on the lights. But they're not. Also her reasoning was that the lightbulbs around the vanity were lit, but we don't see their reflection in her skin. Her forehead is shiny in the exact same place reflecting the exact same light, but none of these new lights? The photos are also the one thing I wonder if her legal team could get in trouble for on ethics grounds. But I don't think anyone is pursuing that.
