Okay, TimeTeam has only three days for a very specific reason. Once upon a time, an archaeologist named Mick Aston had a dream that archaeology could be made interesting to the regular English person. He told a lot of people, and eventually it was decided that a three day dig, over the weekend would be a viable format. Three days, because most of the team have day jobs in various universities in England that bring in an income. This was presented to a television station, and it was picked up, lasted for twenty years, and now archaeology is now available to the entire world, in a wonderfully interesting format, with a cast that has become household names, and celebrities!

@TheAlchaemist

Because in general digging into previously dug places is a waste of time, and the recording of the previous dig, despite being amateur, was really good. It already provided much info, which was interpreted by the current archeologists. Knowing that they really needed to confirm the context, and look for the stores front. there they hit the jackpot, the tessellated floor.

because of all the roots and plants. The only form of geophysics they did at this time was electro-resistance, and it doesn't work when you have dense vegetation because the plants show up bright and make it impossible to see if there's anything else

From my own point of view, you need to invest smartly if you need the good things of life. so far i've made over $255k in raw profits from just 6 months into the market from my diversified portfolio strategy and i believe anyone can do it you have the right strategy, mutual funds takes long time but investing smartly is the key for short term. Most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.

It was meant to be a form of investigative dig. They try to obtain as much evidence as possible in 3 days to see if there is any need for a more extensive dig later. Digs take some funding and it is cheaper to do short digs to get evidences before approval for more funding than to gamble loads of funding and achieve nothing.

THE ROMAN WERE FASCINATING ENOUGH FOR ME, AS A MATTER OF FACT MORE FASCINATING THAN THE VIKINGS OR DARK AGES. DIGGING THE ROMAN ARE MUCH EASIER THAN DIGGING THE DARK AGES BECAUSE THE ANGLO SAXON AND VIKINGS ARE KNOWN TO BE NOT VERY CIVILIZED AND JUST BUILD WITH WOOD AND MUD AND ALL THEIR STRUCTURES ROTTEN AWAY BY TIMES, THEY DIDN'T EVEN MADE A LOT OF POTS BUT USED WOODEN UTENSIL AND BOW, INSTEAD. THE ONLY THINGS THEY ARE KNOWN FOR WERE MAKING WEAPONS AND JEWELRY...SOMETHING NEVER CHANGED EVEN TODAY ANGLO SAXON DESCENDANTS ONLY MAKE WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION AND LOVE BLING BLING AND MONEY. WHILE THE ROMANS BUILD MANSIONS, ROADS AND MANY AMAZING TECHNOLOGICAL FEATURES. THAT IS WHY THE AGES WHEN THE ANGLO SAXON CAME WAS CALLED DARK AGES BECAUSE HUMAN IN BRITAIN BECAME BACKWARDS AGAIN AFTER THE ROMAN LEFT. FROM HEATED FLOOR AND TOILET WITH PLUMBING AND RUNNING WATER IN ROMAN TIMES BACK TO A SMALL HOLE IN YOUR BACKYARDS AND USING DRIED LEAVES TO WIPE YOUR BUM. LOL
