Assalamu calaykum,I am from somalia and we learn to trace our ancestors from folk songs, in somalia there is sab clan and soomaale clan all descendent of owisir our common ancestor and i mean the real somalia(including adama,hawasa,ogadenia,dir dhawo,harar,wajeer,mandheera,gaarisa,lamu,marsbit,isiolo,and much more), and your name is mentioned by gadabursi clan of soomaale in somalia and goes like this "abatutsi abaan ula heen" meaning we and abatutsi(you) shared a father, and you guys left for more than one thousand years and intermarried with non somali(which is not acceptable according to our tradition and culture) hence why you lost your language af-somali but you kept the culture especially the dance and the admiring thing is that eventhough you lost your roots you did not lose the pride that every somali posses masha ALLAH,and do not take your origin from just your blood sample result,because you guys were marrying your neigbors for ages,since you are a muslim the only thing left for you to be a somali is to learn the language which is only unique to us somalis,I hope all the abatutsi to become muslim and relearn their language insha ALLAH
