I am from Lyon and your video is very interesting. Just a piece of information, the restaurant "Daniel and Denise" does not have a Michelin star but only a "Bib". The bib is a label awarded by the inspectors of the Michelin guide, aimed at rewarding restaurateurs offering "neat cuisine at a moderate price". Every year, the award-winning restaurants of a gourmet bib are listed in the guide to good French small tables.😉

Good video! I am in Lyon now and I agee with you re the old town; I don't think I would want to be there. I am staying in the 9th arrondissment, which is about a mile and a half from the center, and I am enjoying it. I don't need to be in the center of everything, and the train is easy enough to use!

We were there for 3 weeks and loved it. Your amounts seem very reasonable.

Great public transportation. 2 weeks is a good amount of time in a place for us. There are so many places to go.

We usually stay a month to get a larger discount on accommodations. Thanks for watching.

@SlowTravelChronicles you are right. Often there isn't a lot difference between 2 weeks and a month.

PLUS $2500 for r/t airfare from the States. I've been in that general area of France a couple times touring the WW1 areas around Amiens and areas north, haven't been back since 2019, sadly ABNB prices have about doubled. France has always been expensive for a solo traveler w/car rental. My month cost about $4500 w/air.

Our flights were a tad cheaper. I chose not to include airfare because it varies so much based on originating city. Thanks for watching.
