"New biblical discoveries” is a dangerous phrase. The Bible is unchanging, and announcements of “new” findings in the Word of God should be met with suspicion. On the other hand, the Bible is a large book that requires a lifetime of study to master. It provides the only infallible account of the history of the human race, and mastery of all the details also demands diligent effort. Might we have neglected some plain signposts in the text that illuminate the earliest events of human civilization? Tune in to find out! Featuring Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson and Ken Ham.

I mean with symbols while they could not communicate with different groups with the spoken language they were able to communicate just fine though writing.

Dr. J, Genesis 9:27, "Let [Japheth] dwell in the tents of Shem." The 'tents of Shem' were a religious/political community that worked together to maintain justice on earth, and Ham was to be their servant. This suggests that the Shemites and Japhethites were more likely to intermarry and that the Hamites were the ones they ruled over. It is interesting that God used Joseph, a Shemite, to oversee the famine, ruling over Egypt AND the entire world through the provision of bread. The Hamites planted and harvested the grain as servants, but Joseph gave it out as a ruler.

Tim Mahoney's Israel in and out of Egypt series suggests extreme flooding as source of the 7 bad years. Many crops that might survive the flooding would potentially be killed be killed by mold. There is a Nile river dial that tests for too little & too much water to help predict yields, and a great reservoir Bahr Yusuf (Joseph?) exists today, and the Pharaoh who Joseph advised, built his estate on the canal to that reservoir.

We need to not only be skeptical of new teachings; we need to be skeptical of old teachings as well lest we fall into blind allegiance to man made doctrines. The Bible itself should be our doctrine and a filter for all of man's teachings both old and new. As far as new discoveries in scripture, I respectfully disagree with the statement that at this point in history man has discovered just about everything there is to be discovered. What I would say is we have picked the low hanging fruit on a tree that is a hundred feet tall. Just look at how little of the Old Testament was understood by the scribes and the Pharisees. To get at the rest of the fruit requires a commitment to the truth and the kind of revelation that the Pharisees (including our modern day version) simply don't have. Unfortunately, most of the people in the church today are satisfied with an indoctrination that comes effortlessly rather than true understanding which comes from God.

Personally, I believe wholeheartedly that Japeths line still exists. My speculation is that much or all of his line was driven northward into lands where it was less hospitable to dwell at the time.....most likely due to the ice age. As well, Noah prophecies that Shem shall share a tent with Japeth. I believe this prophecy was fulfilled in part in ancient times; but more so towards the modern era.

I thought you would like to know that the 600 to 700 year post-Flood period should actually be a 1,250 to1,350 year period, as the Masorites changed the text, removing 100 years from the life span of 6 generations, and 50 to another, to get the life of Shem to overlap Abraham, to make Shem Melchedizik. Too many writers, quoting the Hebrew texts that are long lost to us prove this alteration took place. Maybe this makes some of the math easier?

There's a clue in Genesis 9:27, "God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant." Did Japheth's genetic identity get lost because of "dwelling in the tents of Shem" , which implies a lot of "cousins" getting busy.

I find the images of Noahs sons to be interesting. Personally I've believed that Shem, Ham, and Japheth would be similar in genetics. Considering that there was maybe up to 1500 years of procreation up til the flood though there would've been plenty of change among other families so maybe one of them married an "Asian" "African" "Caucasian" etc looking wife. IMO the biggest potential for the swings in diverse aesthetics came from the mothers side. On a side note: Abram didn't necessarily lie, Sari was his half sister. On the whole I really do enjoy this series though 👍

I have traveled the entire mesoamerican region and interacted with the natives, and the Mayans are still alive in the entire mesoamerican region, they are divided now by modern republics, dialects and even traditional costumes, some have been successfully integrated to the western ways of life and others as the lacandon live more isolated from the “outside world’ but that don’t make them more or less Mayans that the other groups spread out in mesoamerica, that statement is very disrespectful towards the Yucatec, kekchi, pocoman, Quiche and other groups of Mayan that have been there for thousands of years before the European Spaniards arrival . Also among scholars in the subject there is a divided camp now days about the origin of the Mayans, Nakbe seems to be for now the oldest Mayan city found, such city is found is the lowlands of The Peten Jungle, also there is 1 interesting site where there is evidence of Olmec and Mayan features such as Tak'alik A´baj, in Retalhuleu, which is the only ancient city in the Americas with Olmec and Mayan features. And some scholars now theorized that the origin of the Mayan people as civilization could have been in that site but others believe could be in Yucatan. Overall the Mayan people are not a monolithic group necessarily like some people have perceived them, and the ancient Mayans political system never integrated the entire Maya cultural area into a single state or empire. Rather, throughout its history, the Maya area contained a varying mix of political complexity that included both states and chiefdoms. The Quiche Mayan people was the group that produced to famous popol vuh later translated from Mayan Kiche to Spanish German English etc. meanwhile other Mayan groups in other regions of mesoamerica have left us interesting cultural legacy for us to continue learning and stop assuming things in our ignorance.

Speaking about histories and the R1a2 haplogroup found in the Y-chromosome of Assyrian males, is it safe to hypothesize and say that Alexander the Great's general, Seleucus I Nicator, conquered those parts of northern Iraq (Assyria) in circa 312 BCE and that his soldiers intermingled with the local population, explaining why there is a prevalent R1a2 marker there? What might, in fact, lend credence to this speculative conclusion is that, among Jews, there are two primary haplogroups: The Yemenite Jews, who were known to preserve the most ancient Jewish traditions and customs, carry the haplogroup J1b1. The Ashkenazi Jews, whom many suspect may be descended from converts to Judaism, bear the haplogroup R1a2. Of course, being proselytes to Judaism from European origin does not make them any less Jewish, according to Jewish law and tradition. King David's grandmother (Ruth the Moabitess) was a proselyte to Judaism.

Fallen angels didn't mate with human women, but that fable comes from Jewish mysticism, which ideas have crept into the body of Christ in these end times. Don't fall for it. Thankfully there are many more pastors and other Christians who have caught on and are exposing and refuting that lie, which stems from the Hebrew Roots movement, which is a cult. Titus 1:14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. 2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

There were no “ships” back then, just boats, and those boats couldn’t transport slaves from Africa to America. The ocean current does not allow that kind of a voyage without engines, which their sailing boats didn’t have. Slavery didn’t happen the way we were told. Bible history only focused with God believing generations until after the flood , that’s why Ham & Japheth missed the highlights of Genesis 11 . However , their group was mentioned in Genesis 10 , where their assigned lands sandwiched the land of Shem . ; Japheth in the upper regions of Russia & Turkey . While Ham was in lower regions of Egypt & Libya . After dispersal in Nimrod’s time , some some Hamitic tribes settled in the land assigned to Shem which historians called Canaan & Filistine . And because Israel disobeyed God to drive out totally the tribes , they became the problem , that affects the World until today ! Japheth is not lost tribe , but not seen in the story simply because the mixing of tribes between Jews and Egyptians are the only one recorded in the Bible . But other Semites , not Jews , have easily mixed with other tribes for the obvious reason they do not believe GOD , like Abraham did , that separated him from the rest of the tribes even of his own .

Once the "mixed multitude" that came out from Egyptian dominion under YHWH, "married" YHWH" at the mountain, they, a "melting pot" became a "nation". And in that melting pot nation's laws in the Torah include statutes regarding "naturalization", where the "foreigner" is "grafted in" (naturalized) and the "torah" (law/instructions of YHWH) apply equally for both the "native born" and the "naturalized" "Israelite", just for all civil law nations today. Any foreigner that expatriates, is naturalized to become a "national" of a any civil law nation today is expected to assimilate into that new nation's culture and learn and keep the new nation's laws. Foreigners that become "Americans" don't continue to keep the civil laws of their old nation, they learn and keep the laws of the US and their American State. Remember that Caleb, who was not native born, but was one of the "mixed multitude" that came out on first night of "unleavened bread" after the "passover" meal, was naturalized into the "tribe" of "Judah" and only Caleb, a grafted in foreigner, and Joshua (who shares the Hebrew name of the Messiah) a native born of Ephraim (the birthright tribe) are the only TWO who came out of Egypt on that night who also "crossed over" into the promised land after the wandering of 40+ years in the wilderness for disobedience. This is huge because it shows a glimpse of the "end times" when the divided "houses" of Israel (the divorced northern kingdom of Israel, led by Ephraim: the prodigal son) and Judah (the not divorced, but still apostate, older brother in the prodgial story) are once again "made one" (the two "sticks" of Ezekiel) again in the Messiah's hand when He returns to fulfill the fall feasts (end times prophesies). But notice that the Caleb (foreigner grafted into Israel via Judah) and Joshua (native born Ephraimite) represent the divided "houses"/Kingdoms that need to once again be re-united. Also in Ezekiel 47, the same naturalization laws still apply after the Messiah's return. Ezekiel 47 discusses the "foreigners" that are grafted into the reunified Israel are naturalized into the "tribe" whose land they freely choose to dwell during the Millennial reign. I would bet that YHWH has made sure that every living soul on earth today, due to the scattering of Israel (northern ten tribes) and Judah (southern 3 tribes) all over earth as a punishment for their sin, has a little "Abrahamic" DNA so that the promise YHWH made to Abraham that his descendants would number like the stars in the sky/sand on the seashore would be kept since YHWH always keeps His promises.

Or, "Jew" and "Gentile" means "believers" and "unbelievers" respectively, but mankind wrongly interpreted as strictly ethnic. How can Gentiles not be ethnically related to Jews? Ishmael and Isaac both have Abraham as their earthly father, but Ishmael is called a Gentile. How is it that Gentiles can cease to be Gentiles and become Jews upon believing in Christ, and Jews become Gentiles as the Bible says? One cannot change ones ethnicity. But, indeed, Jesus is the King of the Jews and Gentiles become Jews upon belief in him, and Jews cease to be Jews upon rejection of him. So, therefore, God used those terms to describe believers and unbelievers. The world doesn't understand God's word. The kingdom of God is inherited by faith, not via genealogy. Romans 8: 28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. Ephesians 2: 11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. Galatians 4: 22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. 24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. 25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. 26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. 27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. 28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. 29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. 30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. 31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free. Romans 9: 6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. 9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son. 10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; 11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) 12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. 13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. God kept his promise to Abraham, but not via the flesh since all mankind are related anyway, and those who keep Judaism do not consider Abraham a Jew. And yet, God considers Abraham a Jew. Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Just because Mrs Noah's MTdna was not passed on doesn't mean that she had no lineage. Her lineage didn't STOP. Her offspring still carried traits from her non-MTdna CORE dna genes such as basic traits for hair/eye/skin color and other traits. Lineage is not ALL in the mitochondria. Its all either dominant or recessive from either parent's core dna. You can still have your grandmother's dna that's not Mtdna related. Its not a dead-end. My neice has her GRANDMOTHER'S red hair. Noah's sons carried half of their mother's core dna and half of Noah's core dna and passed both sets of CORE dna to their offspring, as did THEIR wives, whoever they were. Noah's sons wives passed their MTDNA to their offspring. Noah's wife's core dna was not a dead end.

You're right, but we can't reliably track core DNA for more than a few generations. It gets diluted too quickly (by 50% each generation.) That is why Dr Jeansen uses MtDNA and Y DNA.

How about this for a thought. Gen Chapters 1 & 2 are all about what God created *and* made, and these two things are quite different. When God _creates,_ he brings into existence that which had not previously existed,; however, when he _made,_ he changed something that already existed into a different form and thereby brought forth something new. I shan't explain this further here, but I simply ask that you think about what this means. In Gen Ch 1, Mankind was _created,_ male and female, they were _created._ But in Ch 2, a unique Man was _formed_ and then God took a part from out of his side and _formed_ it into a woman; so we are being told that Adam and Eve were both MADE, the one from the other, they were not _created._ Now the serpent in Eden was not an actual creature, it was a _representation_ of something and, not unusually in Scripture, it was _personified_ by being given a voice. Evil was always present in the garden and Scripture tells us where it lived, Evil resides in the heart of Man, it is part of his nature. Eve was just doing what everyone does, she was debating with herself, and she didn't have much experience to guide her. I have just one more thing to say. It is evident that God's Plan requires that all of mankind be of one flesh, and we learn from Luke's gospel that Adam was _the son of God._ We learn from Gen Ch 6 that there were two groups of humans living together on the earth; the _sons of God_ and the _daughters of men._ Did God bring the flood then, to eliminate evil, knowing in advance that he would fail, or was it his prime intention to eliminate all those humans who were not descended from Adam? Today, we are all of one blood. Just a few thoughts, but what a difference they could make to our understanding.

.. you've made a mistake in referring to two groups of humans - in Genesis chapter 6 the bible gives the account of 'sons of the true God' that left their assigned dwelling place in the heavens and materialized human form to have illicit relations with women on earth. These were demonic creatures that co-habited with humans giving rise to the Nephilim. This resulted in a grand scale of violence on the earth requiring God's intervention. - Jude 1:6

The garden in Eden was a perfect peaceful paradise intended for perfect humans - God's creation was not defective - it was declared 'very good' at the conclusion of God's creative works on the sixth day. - Genesis 1:31 The serpent in the garden was a real creature - it was used by a corrupted angelic being to deceive the first woman into believing a lie (the beginning of false religion) God does not create evil - he warns against it - humans were given free will, they had freedom of choice - whether to worship God or not. This freedom is a divine gift that comes with responsibilities and consequences.
@Chris_Sheridan
@Chris_Sheridan Жыл бұрын
@@LanghamW1 .. your ignorance is astounding! Read the Bible cross reference - even scholars acknowledge that angelic creatures became demons to have sex relations with women on earth. The Nephilim were hybrid creatures, giants on the earth of unusual height and stature - the name means 'Feller - to knock down' - you need to research properly. There was no evil in Eden or in humans until Satan told the first lie - Genesis 3:4, 5 Genesis 3:1 identifies that the serpent was a real animal in the garden that was used to deceive the first woman, Eve, by contradicting God's warning that death would result from disobedience ie. eating from the tree that was prohibited. Revelation chapter 12 identifies Satan the Devil as being the deceptive spirit that used the serpent to deceive Eve.

@@Chris_Sheridan Like so many people who consider themselves to be Christian, you don't seem to be able to understand what the Bible actually says, consequently you don't believe what it says but instead you would rather believe in made-up fairytales, believing thereby the things you WANT to believe. Stop reading stuff into Scripture that isn't there. Here is a typical example: 'humans were given freewill' where do you read that? Humans were given the ability to CHOOSE, a choice can only be made from the choices that are available, therefore a choice is limited. Again I say to you, read and try to understand.

He referred to Joseph when in Egypt as Jewish. Jew initially simply meant a descendant or of the Tribe of Judah. All Hebrews & Israelites were not & are not of the Tribe of Judah thus weren't Jews, particularly at this time in history other than the direct descendant of Judah. In any case this did explain possible reasons why I'm seeing ancient Egyptian, Moabite, Hittite, Roman, Israel, Morocco_Jews, Iraq_Jew, etc. in my DNA results at Gedmatch & mytrueancestry, those ancient Israelites were spreading their seed with everybody.

No we didn't because the Bible is not a science or history book. The Bible, Quran, Book of Mormon or Rig Veda are not used for the "hard" sciences., The one thing to remember is that it is a collection of writings that have been combined into books. We know, for example, that the last few verses of Mark was added later as was the last chapter of John. Virtually all non-fundamentalist scholars think the Torah had numerous authors since 1) it was written hundreds of years after Moses and 2) Moses was illiterate like everyone else. The Bible says god "spoke to Moses" in the same way Allah spoke to Mohammad. Muslims believe he wrote the Quran despite confessing he was illiterate.

There is enough information in the bible to show that each 'creative' day was 7,000 years. The clue is in the length of the 7th day which concludes all the previous 6 creative days. Since the beginning of the 7th day, God has been 'resting' or 'ceasing' from creative works - that day has not yet ended - we are some 6,000 years into God's day of 'rest' and there is still the thousand years of Christ's rule yet to come (after Armageddon). We are now living in the 'last days' - a relatively short period of time where the world is experiencing increased woes and distress because the Devil has been hurled down to the earth and influencing events that we hear about every day - crime, lawlessness, wars, famine (food shortages) etc. Matthew 24, Luke 21, 2 Timothy 3:1-4, Revelation 12. Wicked people have little time left - they will be removed - righteous people will remain. Psalm 37:10, 11 & 29

When I was young I used to think just like you. Then I got challenged and I did my own research of History archeology geology and I changed my mind. My journey started in an advanced biology class where I studied DNA. I also studied statistical probabilities. That research led me to digging deeper. If you think this is all nonsense I suggest you read current updates on DNA, that you look at forbidden archeology which is a real thing and I suggest you study the timeline. There are many sound scientific discoveries that confirm this, from other sources. If you haven't done this, there is no way you can come to an objective conclusion. It's amazing to me that people take whatever an "authority" states as fact when there is so much other evidence that comes to a different conclusion. This is called programming and we're all victims of it. Critical thinking is doing research on your own and coming to your own conclusions. Not what so-called mainstream science tells you but what other scientists are proving. Since the theory of evolution, and the theory of geology mainstream science has become a religion with its own dogma and its own suppressive rules for anyone who contradicts their narrative. I wish you luck on your journey.
