Well technically yes but actually no. Symbiotes are a loose collection of cells and while they can detach to make clones i.e. two venoms it is not the same as creating offspring i.e. venom and carnage. The venom colony rejected the new cells tainted by Cassidy whereas the venom clone is technically still connected to Eddie. The fact that anyone who knows Spiderman is Peter Parker was brought to the MCU means that Eddie's venom is also Tobey's venom and soon to be Tom's venom. While carnage is an entirely new entity, hence why Venom didn't know he was red or anything about Carnage's host.

My understanding is that the symbiotes are of hive mind througout their universe/galaxy. They cant communicate to other symbiotes from other universes. But it does make sense that when they are in a new one venom doesnt want to leave and gain knowledge from this new universe and the symbiotes from it. This would be a completely new network he would be connected to. I assume its like taking bees from a hive and dropping off new ones.
