Did Your New Jeep Gladiator / Wrangler LOCK You OUT While Running?!? ( What You Can Do & Don't )

Hey Everyone! So while I was filming a review of this 2020 Jeep Gladiator the vehicle decided to lock up while it was running. Here's a few things you can't do and what your going to have to do!!! Its really pretty simple, but depending on where you're at it may be a pain in the ass. Go Home and Get the SPARE Key. The doors are so tight on the newer vehicles using some of those tools may cause you to damage the door. You don't want to do that especially since the vehicle is so new. Lets just hope you have a spare key at home to unlock the doors. You'll be fine to leave the car in the mall parking lot, because I doubt anyone will steal the car since they can't enter it LOL.

I own a roadside assistance company, these can be unlocked with the airbag method pretty easily if you have quality bags without any damage to the doors or seals.

I've had this happen to me once, years back, I was a mechanic back then, was working on a Buick, and the doors locked with the engine running. BCM (Body Control Module) locked the doors on its own. I was outside the car and I heard the click of the doors lock. At that moment it was the loudest sound in the world, since the customer didn't have a spare key. But I got lucky. The Buick would auto-unlock if I were to turn the engine off. Since at that time I had the hood opened, so I just pulled the fuse to the ECM (Engine Control Module) and the BCM unlocked the doors for me.

What kind of option is this? Also...why would Jeep include this option to their product? Not having the pressure sensor activated on either front seat, and the door locks when closed seems like the opposite of of a safety option.

Jokes on you! i have manual locks!, haha when i was detailing my parents toyota during the summer it did that, i hated it, constantly unlocking it
