Just a little explanation on what's actually going on: Sonic was killing all these people in order to sacrifice them. If a sacrificing into a statue of the head King engraved in Hebrew on its chest, which the statue was for a powerful demon that would Grant anyone great power with the sacrifices they made. Sonic obtained this great power from all the people he killed. He's now collecting the Chaos emeralds in order to either destroy the world or take over the world. As for Knuckles he's going after the Super emeralds since they are far stronger than the chaos emeralds, & could stop Shin Sonic if he completes the ritual. Hopefully this helps with your understanding of this ongoing Analog Horror & I'd love for you to revisit it if a new one drops
