Diecast Restoration collaboration video XJ220, 1/18 scale part 1 strip down.
this new project will be a joint effort between myself, Andy and luke ,to costimize this 220 into a TWR 220 road legal version.
there is no time limit on this so pop in for updates as and when .

Thanks Kevin, yes it took some work getting that suspension apart without breaking anything, the fun part will be putting it back together 🤣🤣

I had the pleasure of seeing one in real life before it had been released to the general public. It was under cover and due to be sent off in a plane for cold weather testing in Canada. It was top secret at the time but we sneaked a peek under the cover and was amazed that it had so many Ford parts like door handles and switches, but I think Ford owned Jaguar at that time. I bet your collaboration will make a superb example of this, certainly a memory jogger for me. Many thanks for posting.

The best part of that model as it was , was the engine detail but as normal for maisto at the time was door shuts and under the bonnet the paint was a bit patchy . No doupt it will finish up great.

Hi mate hope you had a great trip away. Nice car but Blimy It's like that song from The Dave Clark 5, BIT'S AND PIECES BITS AND PIECES. I'm sure you will figure it out. It should look good when it's finished. You certainly go from one end of the scale to the other littlns and biggns I believe is the technical term.😂😂🤣🤣 Catch you on the next one mate.👍🏻

Waiting for this one,Martin.i have 2,one has Ferrari F50 wheels,so you can see the disc brakes! Don't leave it too long before the next part.

Thanks Terry, hopefully not I need to research the interior, we are changing the wheels, for a 3d printed set ,question do the wheels pull off or is there something else you have to do .
