As said, Zava is based on Zlatan. When Zlatan signed with the LA Galaxy, he bought a full page ad in the LA Times that read “Dear Los Angeles, You’re welcome.”

The crazy thing is that Zava probably had to be toned down, because if he was exactly like Zlatan, the non-fans or casuals would think the character was too over the top.

Love Roy's speech at the end, which yes, is absolutely about him and Keeley. Thinking he's not good enough, that he's just dragging her down or holding her back.

I like that Barbara and Keeley are teaching each other different lessons to try and find compromise. Keeley is open-minded but lacks restraint, while Barbara has a rigid level of restraint and lacks the openness. One is too vulnerable, while the other is too guarded, and once they find a healthy middle, they'll be unstoppable!

god gals i love that you catch that the speech was about Keeley, even if just as metaphor, because i hear a lot of people complaining that the break up was too random and just for drama, but this episode give us the clear picture: EVERYBODY, even Jamie, were compleatly surprise not only by the break up but that Roy was the one who decide to ends things, but since the first season an issue with roy is that he doesnt belive himself to be good enought, and people just doesnt notice because of his tough persona. He usually fell selfconsius with his age, with his skills, if he will do good enough as a tv presenter or even as a couch, but the biggest thing he was always unsure if he was good enought with Keeley (remember whe he was super clingy with her in season two, you can easily explain it at him thinking he have to be stuck with her or he will lose her), so like with Chelsea it was easier for him to quit instead of keep trying and probably falling even worst. i think nobody is happy with their break up, inside and outside of the show, but it was inevitable, at least if Roy doenst deal with his issues.

If you remember all the way back to episode 1x03 when Trent went to the school with Ted and Roy, when Roy leaves he says "Trent, you're a colossal prick. You always have been." Nearly every single thing in this show is there for a reason.

Zava is based on the real life footballer Zlatan Ibrahimović . One time Lebron James sent him a jersey as a gift and he autographed it and sent it back. , also that Dani Rojas moment was probably based on "Chicharito" Javier Hernández who scored his first goal for Manchester United off his face .

Back in season 1 when Roy made a totally out of pocket comment about Trent totally out of left field, i thought it sounded super personal. Here we are in season 3 finally getting the payoff to that set up.
@curtisadams716215 күн бұрын
In football it’s very much a sacred place the locker room and in training so alot of clubs and old school footballers much like Roy wouldn’t want press anywhere near behind the scenes etc as the press are always out to expose players in English media. It’s an oldschool but still prevalent mindset that the pitch and interviews are for the fans and the press and behind the scenes is for the coaches and players only. That’s why we have no in locker room interviews in football unlike American sports. The vets won’t have it.

Keeley is not her boss. And it's "her" company, cause she's not paying for it. HER boss is. As CFO, she doesn't answer to Keeley, she answers to the money. And Keeley hiring someone without experience, no training, no school, no nothing, is a danger to that money. Not difficult to understand.

IMO this is the start of a short run of pretty subpar episodes... but don't be discouraged, because it doesn't last very long. 3 and 4 have some annoying stuff in them, but to their credit even the annoying stuff pays off by the end of the series in the better episodes that follow. 5 gets better, 6 is the best episode of the entire series, and everything after 6 is almost as good as 6.
