That spot lock feature is a great addition to the kayak. Thinking about a system for my boat but just can not justify the cost yet. When fish come unbuttoned early, halibut or lingcod as they let it go let it drift back down on frees pool! Sometimes they will just pick it right back up.

Adam some lite comments and then some more cerebral ones. I'll try to go back all I saw in this video. Wow! You handle (edit) your time on videos with some catching but more on educational fishing stuff. When a meat eater fish gives a hit that you miss. They too missed it and want another chance ... just drop it back down for a few seconds, and they will attack it again. GPS as a fishing aid for rock fish. I can remember in Seward, Alaska 50 years ago when GPS became prevalent and one could locate the same "rock pile/outcrop" and they caught lots of rock fish that were most 50 year old fish. Those spots started getting fish out... What does it take to replace a 50 year old fish? Lots of time. With many. many inshore kayaker fishers exploiting the same same (rocks) location where my Dad and I were more in shore, surf fishers and used to catch lots of rubber lipped perch just to the north of where I believe you launched and there was once lots of "KELP" beds. Maybe, kayker's too need to enforce additional Regs so they have a future ("inshore") in Kayak fishing.

Man You Rock Bro.... I Seeing How U Are Fishing Is Very Smart The Way You Put Your Bait Hook, I Normally I Pit Two Hooks On Medium Frozen Fish.... But I Have A Question What Name MakerModel Is Your Fish Finder
@visualmaestro773 жыл бұрын
This may be a total noob or ignorant question, but have you ever had any encounters with curious sharks? Since you're in the Bay Area and kayaking... I assume you keep the metal loop/stringer by your kayak to hold your fish fresh while you keep fishing. Have you had any close encounters?
@goombamike49442 жыл бұрын
You really need a second stringer that you should keep empty. That way you can transfer each new catch to the first stringer keeping one empty and freed up to maneuver easily after each new fish. When I see you struggle with a heavy stringer, or if the fish are still lively I feel they are either going to stab you with their spines or jump off the metal hook. Kayaks seem so claustrophobic...it looks very hard to maneuver your body and keep big fish under control.
