As a person from Europe I think it's hilarious how celebrities are drinking bone broth as a drink whereas we have broth every Sunday for lunch/dinner. Just eat it as a soup - with some noodles, chicken and lots of vegetables - for sure more enjoyable way than having it in a cup.
@janejustin17882 жыл бұрын
i think people from different countries/cultures consume it differently. We also consume it traditionally as a drink in Kenya. Even when you buy from street hotels/vendors here, it's sold as a beverage, in a cup just like tea. Some people drink it along with bread or 'ugali' but the normal way here is to drink it as a beverage.
@dangsood49452 жыл бұрын
In the UK there's a traditional drink called "bovril" that is basically beef tea. It used to be so popular that you could buy it in cafes etc but it's waaay less popular these days. It's used more as a stock nowadays and it also comes as a spread which people put on toast :)

So I recently learned a trick to get the pomegranate fruit out of the skin. Before cutting, roll it around the counter a bit (you'll be able to feel the lil pods loosening inside the skin). Then cut it in half, put it over a bowl or paper towel, and use the back of a spoon to whack the fruit. The little fruit pieces will pop out into the bowl. Way less mess, and you get some stress relief on the way! LOL

Hey Abby, It would be great if you did a series on FODMAPs like a general overview then a video dedicated to each category with what results in the intolerance, foods that typically contain them, and some ideas for how to work with them. I recently had to do the FODMAP elimination diet and discovered that I indeed have an Oligosaccharide intolerance, (and that I am also specifically allergic to grapes: bummer, but not wine: yea!) but it is so hard to find reputable information that’s concise and easy to understand and the whole process was so overwhelming and I felt so alone even though I had family members doing it with me in solidarity.

Has anyone actually done a calorie count of one of these videos? It always looks like there are at least 3000 calories being consumed in a day.
@giuseppeferrara9522 жыл бұрын
Firstly, 3000 calories sounds like a lot for a female. She might just be eating this much for one day. Or, she doesn't actually eat everything she shows on camera; in fact, if you watch again, you only see her taking a few bites of each meal. Or, she must be doing a lot of cardio or something (though, least likely).

My best estimates are 2300 to 2800 for a day of eating like this. It’s like what I ate when I was at the peak of my marathon training. It is not a reasonable diet for an average woman engaged in an average amount of activity.

What you are saying is the truth. Hippocrates (the father of medicine in the western world) shares that all disease begins in the gut. So overeating for an outcome - based decision (future thinking) is literally burdening your organs because of mental state/thinking. It's insanely dysfunctional, which is considered the norm now. And if you speak otherwise, you will *danger* OFFEND someone. And we can't have that. Because...if they're offended, what if you're offended? Then you are offended by their state of offensiveness. Then they can be offended by your offensiveness. See how functional this is? What we're told to walk on ice for. Wake up everyone. Things are changing. And not for the downfall of humanity, even though it's painfully "trendy" to have a machine open your car or blinds for you. Cause, it's too much Effort to use your brain that operate fine motor dexterity. seriously. Fucking insane.

@Kathywake232 жыл бұрын

@amandas79342 жыл бұрын
The Ingredients are not bad, pretty similar to a basic bread with extra spices/seasonings. I like them for my kids because they are one of the few no sugar added crackers/snacks I can find. I mostly get the partially whole grain variety, which bumps up the fiber slightly. But similarly to what abbey says about white vs brown rice, the extra gram or 2 of fiber probably doesn't make much of a difference. I generally try to serve them with other things like she does to make it a slightly more filling snack, unless we need just a quick munch in the car to get us to dinner time.
