The answer is no! Currently no research studies have actually proven that nuts, seeds, or corn can actually cause diverticulitis... #guthealth #diverticulitis #dietitian #nutrition #health

They aggravate my diverticulitis and my IBS. 🤗 tomato seeds are the worse. As well as hard peel on veggies like cucumbers etc. I have to de seed everything before eating

My husband has this, and even had to have part of his colon removed. It is the small nuts and things but mostly not drinking enough water. My husband stocks his diet witha lot of veg. Lots if water.

Wow I’m sorry to hear they had to remove it. But it’s great to hear that he’s focused on his hydration and drinking enough water now!

No but it aggravates the hell out of my IBS! Very very painful and embarrassing

Yes. That is common with IBS since some nuts, seeds, and corn do contain FODMAPs which can ferment in the gut leading that aggravation in bowel movements.
