This sounds like it would be a GREAT pedal platform. There's also a master on this.

Sounds decent for lower gain applications. Have you tried the mk3 Herbert? I got one last week and it sounds significantly better than what I remember the mk2 sounded like.

I didn’t like the Mk3 Herbert - but I like the VH4 and this one.

@@wizardsouthJPdo you prefer the Big Max over the w800?
@wizardsouthJP Жыл бұрын
@@richardpryor2981 not necessarily, they both do their own thing. The Diezel still has the compression and midrange voicing youd expect, the W800 had more open and raw punch.

Thank you for posting this! Low input was exactly what i was looking for. The amp sounds awesome in my opinion. Have you by any chance tried the Diezel Paul and can compare?

Had a Paul a few years ago, much more versatile and overall I think I’d take the Paul over the Big Max, both are cool amps though. The Paul has a great clean and could get pretty aggressive on its own even without a boost.

Thanks for the quick reply! From what I've heard online the Paul also seems to sound a bit more open/vintage rock than the BigMaX , doesn't have as much of that diezel compression. Since the price difference here in Germany is only 200€, I think I will go with the Paul

@@simonjonasmusic8410 yes, the Paul is a bit less compressed but still has the Diezel DNA and tone - just a bit more raw and open. Paul is a great choice - you'll dig it, and the reverb was fantastic as well.

@@wizardsouthJP Thanks man, really appreciate it! Big max still sounds excellent though
