You're spot on with the cheaper boots. I've gotten 2 years out of a pair of ~$175 boots but they've been hard, uncomfortable years. Upgrading to something better shortly.

Ehh depends on the brand. I have bought Durango boots that cost 140 and they have lasted 7 years and were awesome all 7 years. Only needed to get new ones because a stallion threw me down and stepped on my boots and destroyed them.

Most comfortable pair I had are Justin Bay Apache boots. Felt like old pair of slippers on day 1. I’ve worn them every day for 6 years now and I’ve finally worn them out. Getting a new pair today

I can vouch for Double H boots, they are hard to break in but once they do they are amazing. Plus they have great tread and are one of the few that make round toe cowboy styled work boots.

Hi its actually mixed up leather... left overs from the good part of the leather... its still okay leather... It's a good started boot or once a while wearing boot..

The vamp is made of cow hide leather called "liga" (like rubber band) this leather is kinda prepared for shaping to an exotic look, also with hot glue to mantain all those bumps you see.

I've seen these at my local dry goods store and they are almost as cheap as Justin's. The leather is thin and the thread is junk. 90$ are still 90$ boots they last 3 months and break apart.

In my opinion, you didn't demonstrate any SIGNIFICANT differences between these two pair of boots. Yes, you pointed out some details that caused added expense to the price of one pair but there was nothing to say, "This is a Good Boot" and "This is a not(or so) Good Boot". I think a mistake many people make when discussing how cowboy boots are worn are worn is that they overlook people who only wear the boots occasionally and then with light use/wear and tear. In that scenario, inexpensive boots last as long as and can feel as good as an expensive pair.

Bro I just bought my first pair as an adult. I haven't worn boots since I was a mocoso. At the store they felt pretty good but the next day I had to keep fixing my left sock. Today I didn't want to mess with that so I have on one thick sock on my left and a regular on my right. It seemed to do the trick. So are work boots not made exactly the same? That is a very cheap type of manufacturing you got there. The shaft is also pigskin, if I can tell the sole is an 8/9 iron of the leather used for counters or insoles.

I love shoes made of natural skins (leathers, reptile, etc.), but baby, elephants are facing extinction and their lives really aren't worth anything as petty as boot making - so in essence, those definitely came at a high cost (to the elephant). It would be really rich to refuse to carry them.

which ariats are you comparing it to tho?? they have 2 qualities... the cheapy ones that are cemented on?? with no leather lining or pig skin lining or plastic pipping or thin leather sole, less of a stitched patter, " full grain leather " or the good ones they have with the " goodyear welt construction, full cowhide leather lining cowhide other shaft, leather pipping, 9 iron leather cowhide outsole, which is the back of the cow... leather stacked heel, if you are looking for a whatever boot or just to wear them once in a while get the cheapy ones.... Theres alot of factors that go into it... Don't always just look at the price tag.. lmfao ... I got cheapy boots on my website as well like 100-140 but those are okay just for a started boot or just want to wear boots a few times a year.. if you ever need help let me know on the IM on my website ill help you out

Regretably, I bought a pair of $100 cinder blocks, which provided an excruciatingly slow, six months of my feet getting 'water-boarded'. Spend $200+, and if you do your homework you'll step into, relative, quality and fashion.

@@tommartin1223 Best way to describe it is basically a hard rubber tread that's cut to fit then glued to the bottom of the boot. It protects the leather sole from being worn out. From walking on the ground and gives real good traction. I use them on my expensive western style boots. A good respectable boot shop will have them
