Correction! Template 28 is not the ideal PlantSim face, it's the alien face that Hannah had replaced and didn't realize! You can take it out from the files if you don't like it. Actually, the Ideal Plantsim is probably not even a template, just a Sim 🤔 I might actually keep the mod to maybe get surprised sometimes 😀

A note on the Ideal Plantsim face being included: a Sim born as a Plantsim spore and later cured of Plantsimism could easily pass Ideal Plantsim traits to their offspring, so it is indeed possible to get those features on a baby!

Ah yes, I probably didn't think of that because I'm not a fan of making them babies through woohoo or curing them 😆 Turns out it's not Ideal Plantsim, it's the alien template that the creator had a replacement for and didn't realize.

Yet another breakthrough moment! I think I'll be holding back until sliders get added, as modifying everything in my established hoods would be a _nightmare,_ and I'd have to redo it all should this get updated. Definitely keeping an eye on this, though! Incredible work from meowingcookie/Hannah

So glad you made a video about this! I was commenting on this new mod on MTS and on the fence about whether or not I wanted it but now thanks to your video we all get a solid preview of what this mod is capable of! I think after the information you gave us at 2:55, I have decided that this mod is not for me, because my hood is already heavily populated and I rarely add new sims at this point. But it'll be a must-have whenever I start fresh with a new 'hood :D

I’ve been trying to signal boost this mod on Tumblr so much. I know a lot of people don’t use the default face templates and with the mod’s current limitations many people won’t bother with it, but when I tested it in game I got so excited! I know my current Sims won’t see any change, but hopefully a few generations down the line they might! P.S. I know you said it also doesn’t work for grandchildren of existing Sims but I can’t work out why? If let’s say Sim A and Sim B exist in game and have a child Sim C after you install this mod, then Sim C still won’t have this new template, but if Sim C then married and had a child with another Sim born in-game (after the installation of the mod) then the child would have the new face, right? What am I missing?

If both Sims come from previously existing Sims, it won't work for any of their descendants. Just like broken face features continue as long as they are inherited, even after installing a fix! If Sim C has a child with a newly made Sim, then their child will partially show new features.

Thankfully I’m playing a BACC right now so newly-made Sims get added all the time and (hopefully) I should see some changes eventually even if it’s a few generations away!

Man, I was hoping it would work in my uberhood to detect a copy of a parent. I can't forget the time I was mixing my sim (from Ty Bubbler and Blossom Moonbeam, so my sim was an asian woman) with Gallagher Newson and got the excact same copy of Gallagher with more "flat" face.

The method of making baby faces sounds not terrible so I might try to update em all for the default templates I use. I play multiple custom hoods. Question though: If your Sims aren't using straight face templates (ie. you made them w Poolet method or something using the templates but not just clicking 1 face), do they still get a baby face? It looked like you had a big-eyed Sim only using part of a template so I'm guessing that works? Or would at least 1 parent have to be a single-template Sim?

Babies show basic features of that template, so if sliders were used, those changes don't show. But if you right-click on templates, the blend will show on babies definitely!
