Yeah, most math dept professors are stuck up, especially foreign ones. I think since they immigrated, they've taken everything much more seriously to be competitive, but it makes classes dry and more difficult to understand. Anyway, yes. It's nice when a professor can explain things in human terms rather than rigorous mathematical proofs.

I'm not part of your class, but this lecture sped up the review process for me. You were about as clear and concise as my own Diff. Eq. professor, but introduced me to slightly different ways to execute Differential equation solutions (the tabular method as opposed to by parts, for example). Keep up your teaching style. I am currently in my first year of university in the UK (about to go into 2nd year) I wanted to ask about masters and PhDs as that is my big goal, I know it's a long way off but do you think that if you put the work in that anyone can do a masters or PhD? I always keep thinking to myself that when I struggle on simple things or I see a proof method which I would never have thought of which seems very obvious then it brings me down as most of my class understand it well. I have quite a short term memory, I understand things very quickly but also easily forget important details. I just want to think realistically about if the average person can get one. I did pass year 1 with a first class but trying not to get ahead of myself as that was the 'easy year'
