I dont know about these other ones, but redstripe is by no means a red beer. *Red ales* are literally very red in colour, theyre sour, and have an acidic taste due to the fact that theyre (supposed to be) aged for a year or more in oak caskets.

I always enjoy your stories about the Philippines. Having lived there most of my life, I know exactly what you're trying to describe when you talk about the environment there. With the whole you drawing attention because your white is a very common thing even though it's pretty hypocritical for us Filipinos who always advertise ourselves as being hospitable yet we will stare at a foreigner and even talk behind their backs. And yes, the white guys who go with weird looking girls is also thing and it's fckin disgusting.

Admittedly I don't know exactly what kind of people we're talking about, but what's wrong with people finding each other attractive? Even if most people would say they're ugly, I don't see why it's literally disgusting for a person to find them attractive and date them.

You make a fair point and I guess I should clarify what I meant. Where I lived, we get a lot of tourists, especially old white guys who come here for a "good time". You'd see them a lot in the malls and they'd be with these young Filipino women wearing skimpy outfits. Get the picture? At the same time I would look at these women, and they're obviously attractive in terms of their body, which are skinny, sexy, etc. But a lot of them would have pretty ugly or at least not typically great faces. But you'd never get one with an ugly looking face without a slender body. So while I can't say they are not attracted to the face at all, it's clear that what they're after is their body and are probably willing to ignore the face for it. That's whats pretty disgusting to me, that they are these 40+ old men showering these 20 something girls who do it because everyone is dirt poor and we'll take what we can. But in the end, this still just my own personal observations and biases. I won't claim to say that this is what happens in these relationships.

Sounds like your time in the Philippines involved a lot of shitty shitting. The first couple of times when I drunk a bit more, I also got stomach problems. I think it's something everyone or at least most people go through when they begin adventures with alcohol. Though, I'm sure that foreign cuisine didn't help. Foods that you're not used to can be real hard on your guts.
