There's a ribbon under where the 2 overlapping ribbons with the clear tape over it is. Does that control the IS because I pulled it thinking it can be put back. Can it be soldered back?

Hi, I have two copies of the 24-70 2.8 LIII, I think it has a design flaw on the aperture flex, I'm not going to waste more money on those repairs. Now that I own a R5, what do you think about the 28-70 2.0 L? Any experiences repairing it or appreciations on its design? Thanks.

@@DIGISERVICEBG hello. I stripped my lens down because I had the fault with the aperture flex cable. I have ordered a cable already attached to the lens aperture because desoldering small parts never goes to plan. There are quite a number of different size screws, bushes etc. is there an assembly diagram showing what goes where?

I have done everything as in video. The only thing is that when when I put the zoom barrel it zooms once from 24 to 70 and then only from 35 to 70. Then, when I disassemble the lens it works fine. I have done this five times. Any idea what could be wrong?

Hi the problem is in the diaphragm. May be is fully closed. Send the lens to us for repair.
