We were fortunate to have bought this model for 200.00 from an estate sale and the seller even was gracious enough to deliver the unit. I could never pay the retail price for this cabinet, but I must attest that this is a fine piece of furniture and it is well made, looks great and is just fabulous.

IDK about the rest of ya, but after watching this video, I'm legit considering just saving up for this *exact* TV stand. Sure, it's pricier than I'd like, but after seeing just how handsome it is, build materials used, ease of use features, and functional slats on the facade...this just checks all the boxes. I see this thing as a life-long investment, personally. One and done.

Ross Huey I could buy one if I wanted too, but I just don’t see any reason to spend that much on a TV stand. The touted features to me are it worth much. And you can get stands just as attractive for much less. Now if you’ve got a very nice audio system that you want hidden it would be nice. Still very overpriced though for what’s no doubt a Chinese made piece of furniture. $800-1k is where is should be priced. But there are always people that have more money than sense.

Wayyyyyyyyy over priced for us regular consumers ! I’ve see plenty of SOLID WOOD stands at the $600 - $1,000 price point, heck with the price of this stand it would cost more than the Sony X950G I’m considering.

Gorgeous cabinet, great design, and quality materials. With a price to match, but if you want quality, you have to pay for quality. Wish I'd seen this two weeks ago, I'd have bought it immediately! Hopefully the console I did buy will work well enough for me. (If you don't care about fine solid wood furniture, by all means, head straight to IKEA, and spend your money on something else. Nothing wrong with that. But also nothing wrong with wanting to buy something that will last longer than a couple years, and look truly fantastic the entire time, either.)

People, hes not reviewing the stand itself, he's just using it to exemplify characteristics you want to look for in a media stand. So don't complain about the price. There's other, less stylish pieces of furniture that have some or all of these characteristics for a better price.

Y'all complaining about the cost forget... it's a different world for rich folk. 3K for a solid piece of furniture for high end gear ain't squat. My only complaint with this video is he should have led with.. "looking for an ultra high end stand? I got you covered." or used it in the title. Is working type (and arguably the ones watching this video) would rarely be able to spend the $$$ on an item like this, especially when similar (albeit of lesser quality) ones could be had much cheaper. At almost a million subs... The days of this guy shopping IKEA are LONG GONE... so I don't blame him. Good on ya brother!

The link to the product in Amazon is for a 7129 model which is not the model that they reviewed in this video. The 7129 does not come with removable back or hidden wheels. The correct model is a 8129 and is roughly 400 dollars more expensive. I did not find this out until after I had already ordered the model, and it arrived at my house three weeks later. Heads up if you’re actually thinking about buying this product and utilizing the link in the comments.

Looks great, but if you have a really expensive centre channel you certainly do not want to hide it behind wood. It almost certainly affects frequencies, if not audible then certainly measurable. In high end Home Cinemas you even use special acoustically transparent fabric, I would never put my KEF R600c behind a wood panel.

Elliott Waddick problem is most of its made in China, or some third world country, by people getting $1/hour if their lucky. And it doesn’t take some very high tech factory to produce it, or well paid engineers to design it. Unlike say a high end TV, or even a nice laptop, that requires requires research, design, high tech manufacturing, and after sale tech support. Yet a regular wood and metal piece of furniture coats just as much? Right. They have some absurdly high mark up is what’s going on.

And worth every penny. Well made solid wood furniture is expensive. Maybe that's not what you want to spend your money on. Fair enough. But you don't have to be rich to buy something like this, you just have to make conscious choices to buy fewer, nicer things. A cabinet like this will last 20 or more years or, with care, a lifetime. Nothing from IKEA is going to survive even 25% of that time.

It doesn't look solid wood as first stated. The hike in the bottom looks to be showing a MDF core, just because it has a wood veneer doesn't make it solid wood. Having said that MDF can be strong enough, I just don't care for misleading people.

You are assuming his information is misleading and not accurate. Looking at stuff online on videos is not the same as seeing it in person. I wouldn't point a finger and accuse anyone unless I 100% knew it was a fact. I have it and it looks much nicer in person. Looks can be deceiving.

Save yourself a lot of money and build your own or get a friend or family to build one for you. My brother built my unit for me with proper strong wood (not mdf or chipboard) which cost €400. If I was to buy it , it would have cost 3x the money because its 8' talll by 3' wide.

2:36 - the bowing of the third slat down on the far right would drive my OCD crazy. And at a 2300 dollar price point that's simply unacceptable.. That's a craftsmans mistake.

The "Tripp Lite 12 Outlet Bench & Cabinet Power Strip" fits perfectly, and I'm pretty sure that's what he's using in the video. Available from amazon, etc.

Hi, We certainly understand your trepidation - it can be hard to assume that any speaker placed behind closed doors will sound the same - however, they were specifically designed and tested for use with a soundbar or center channel speaker. The louvered hardwood doors, when closed, allow for sound and remote signal pass-through. The only frequency that can be affected are the highs (tweeter), and we recommend either (1) not placing the tweeter speaker directly behind where the two front doors meet (more wood/obstruction), (2) increasing the level of your highs slightly to compensate if you feel as though your highs are being muted at all, or (3) placing the soundbar on top of the cabinet if you prefer that it not be enclosed at all. If you're interested in our approach to speaker/remote friendly door design, you can learn more here: www.bdiusa.com/stories/design-behind-hidden-sound-bdi-tv-cabinets Thanks!

Sure keep that speaker screen on. Sure put it behind a door with some slats. Sure you’ll hear stuff but it is acoustical transparent. No. Let your stuff breath

Ross Huey confining speakers to a small space doesn’t give them optimal sound. It’s just a fact. Sure it might sound ok but it’s not doing the speaker any justice hiding behind a door or in a small space. I’d love to see the graphs of a 20-20k sweep both in the cabinet and outside the cabinet. No way they are the same.

Its a great looking/ functional stand but for over $2k its not affordable for your average consumer. I rather spend that extra cash elsewhere ie getting the best TV, Speakers, audio receiver etc. Its like building a gaming PC with a case that cost $2k , makes no sense.
