Better deal on Samsung's website. Bought them both Sunday. 55" S90D (2024) $1,299 55" FRAME $999 But I bought them online from Costco and saved another $350 plus got 3 more years of warranty (5 total) for free on both. Both fit my rooms perfectly and you don't need bigger unless in a huge room. Saved over $1,000 by not getting 65". Bought an Onkyo RZ30 Sunday night as well for $999, but it was basically free because of the money I saved on the TV's. All of that for just over $3,000 (Including Taxes & Free Shipping)

I love this channel and never miss an episode. With that said, I have to add a factor not talked about enough. 5 years ago, my daughter purchased a TCL 43" TV for about $250. That TV looked fine for the price & it came with a 6 month warranty. 14 months into ownership, it was dead. I advised her to replace it with a Sony, same size, double the cost (24 month warranty). Now years into owning the Sony, it still runs flawlessly and looks fantastic for the price. The thing that bothers me about these super low cost TV's is, its a roll of the dice for reliability. So I suggest factoring in reliability along with size & picture quality. Going with a brand-name that has a reputation for making quality TV's adds value to your purchase price.

I bought 2 65” tvs Black Friday 2016. I think I paid like $1,400 each. Both went in the same home. One lasted 2-3 years, the other made it another 3 years before needing to be repaired. Luckily I saved the functional boards out of the one that died, so I was able to fix it for free. Aside from the worst of the worst, it’s hard to really quantify reliability.

Hi Kaleb from the UK. Great informative vid as always. I love Hisense TVs. I have two older models but they're both working well and no need to replace until one fails. My query to you is the following, TV repair guy in the UK keeps bad mouthing Hisense because he says their built cheaply and only last 1-2 years. I don't accept that. I would be interested in any info you may have on whether brands like Hisense or TCL are less reliable than the likes of Samsung or LG. Incidentally most of his repairs seem to be Samsung but that might be down to how many units they sell. Thanks for a great channel, Andy.

@janellbaptista82254 сағат бұрын
@@GTX260M you really can’t go wrong with the before because it’s OLED. Just depends on your usage. If you watch a lot of tv, The Qm 7 is a wonderful bang for your buck deal or the Hisense U7N which is roughly the same price and performance both being great for gaming, bright rooms, great 4K HDR images, and I personally loved mine. I have the 55 inch. The 48 B4 is great too,although OLED’s can run burning issues if you watch lots of news and play video games or use as a PC and is less bright then the Qm 7. I would also recommend the Qm 8 if it’s the same price range of the B4. Compare your tv’s on Rtings and then see what all the tvs are in your price point.

There is no such thing as a TV that is too big. :) Even if at first you might be overwhelmed and think it's "way too much", you get used to it so, so quickly. The sense of immersion increases with every inch. I would easily compromise on every other aspect before size. Get the biggest TV that will fit your space. You will not regret it.

Content is a deciding factor. Once screens are over 75", 8K content is desired, especially if using streamed media that is upscaled 1K content (older TV shows with older aspect ratio, that is zoomed in by content provider to remove black vertical bars!)

I never understood why people feel that a larger TV only improves the experience. It's akin to saying that listening to music at 100db is better than 85db. The same way that your ears strain when listening to loud music, the same way your eyes strain when looking at a massive screen. Even though the brightness is numerically the same, a 110 inch screen is 4 times brighter than a 55 inch screen. In addition to that, the actors and screen may exceed your focal point and you'll not necessarily be seeing more and may have to move your eyes around which also strains in the same manner that trying to listen to a particular instrument strains your ear.
@KyleReeseCel20298 сағат бұрын
It's not complicated. The ideal screen size or volume depends on the person. Different people want different levels of immersion. Our experience are not 100% the same 100% of the time.

@techsamurai115 сағат бұрын
@@Ryotsu2112 Indeed eyes are restricted to 18 degrees of focal vision so they are much less flexible. When you exceed that, you're not really seeing that part of the screen clearly. It's a lot worse than the image washing out on a VA panel 🙂

I actually purchased a Vizio soundbar (Vizio M51a) after watching one of your episodes and it was a beauty, at least for me. I especially loved your profound comment on the reason why people want to purchase a certain size of a TV. Thank you for highlighting that ONE very important aspect!
