JP: Throw all the money at it and still not perfectly nail it US: Bare bones yet has pose and scaling right

You can tell that the US version is much cheaper, yet I'd say it looks a lot more like growlmon and wargrowlmon

Ahh Growlmon. I have had my fair share of problems with him. My first one broke then I bought another... that broke ( Both at the same place, the back hinges thar you pointed out) I have one sealed.. seems to be the best way to keep it from being broken. I actually have a chrome one that was already broken. I simply added the paint and sealed him up so he ia a lovely Growlmon figure.

Yeah, for some reason, the plastic quality of the US figures wasn't good at all. Some figures had it worse than others, though. Thanks for your support and hope you enjoy the Leomon figure review! Sorry it took so long! (^o^)

@@Actar_Raikit Yeah. I am guessing Bandai of America got lazy or to cut costs.. which explains the lack of paint. No worries. I am looking forward to seeing what you think of "Saberleomon"!

Why the arms are so static? They could have place an elbow because of how little does it need to hold to transform

Because I going more for the paint apps, I was like blewn away, when I first seen the Japanese Version and I actually found it better, which lead me to another of my countless ebay purchases, back then and like over ten years ago, maybe it was even your review, I think it was back then, so thanks you for showing it. I also bought the US- Version, which they also brought over to Europe here, at this time, when they came to our stores here. I know this with all those transformation joints, those are horrible made. On mine, one of the connection pegs of War Growlmon's Chest/Upper Body amoring broke. But the most horrible thing are those connector nubs on the front of the blades, which connect the hands with the blade front. Because they made of such soft plastik, that you can't get them right in to the conection holes on the hand. On mine they are all this deformed, that I can't get them in anymore XD. Also their strength, if you are able to get them in, for the first times playing around with it, back in those days, you must be afraid to never get them detached again, without destroying, deforming, split those connector nubs/pegs on those blades, when digivolving back, after several times of transforming, they are useless. And the Japanese one is huge against the US-Version. They both have their issues, but well. Just wanted to say, be careful with those nub/peg conectors on the blades. The Die-Cast looks so good, with this nice darker red, on the Japanese one. I love it XD. By Having them both, I think the US-Version Growlmon is better than Japanese Growmon, but US-Version War Growlmon loses against Japanese Megalo Growmon, that's my opinion. I also like the thing that the Japanese Version grows a bit during the transformation, due the way of the system and how they implemented that, blown me away as well and is a nice add for accuracy and nails it, which the US-Version ignores. Plus, I painted the neck section with some nice silver color on mine, so he don't have to has this red neck, LOL. But this looks so much better. At the end of the day, I think I personally would end up saying, that the Japanese one wins (for me) Also for the better colors in the general view. My question is also, why Bandai of America didn't used the Japanese mold and system and improved it for the sake of more accuracy ? But instead of doing this, they came up with their own mold and figure version, which doesn't shines so much in the overall image, even by considering all the positives (as well as the negatives:). Yeahh, I guess because it was intended to be for children, back then. But with the eyes of an collector, I see this now from an different sight. Liked your new Video style btw, especially those pictures, very nice and well done, must benn much work, keep it up

Funny enough, I do have my hands on the Japanese figure back home, and I've heard a lot of negative things about this, but seeing you review this, I'm honestly kinda lost as to how I should feel about the US version. Paint job should be an easy fix though if you have an airbrush, some paint, and masking tape to spare.

The US Growlmon mode looks more like Guilmon, yet it's still nicer lookin' than the Japanese Growmon. And wtf is with Megalogrowmon??? Couldn't Bandai Japan get that right? Wargrowlmon may be missing paint apps and have spots of thin plastic (a taste of things to come for Power Rangers), it's definitely more accurate lookin'.
Not going to lie, but the Digimon figures from US are so cheaply made, that they can easily brake. No wonder a lot of my old Digimon toys, aside from MetalGarurumon ended up broken. :/
