Who told you that the temperature stability in the Ascaso is not good? More stable than the vast majority of old fashioned boiler machines.

yeah, i dont like the "should" in reviews, validate the claims with tests or dont say one is better than the other..

I may have missed it being stated; but remember on SCG page for Diletta, it is stated to be a collabrative brand of Seattle Coffee Gear. Which does mean there could be an implicit bias to state it is better, and an employee leaning that way would not be surprising. So some could consider this promotional content in the guise of a review. It would be like if Home Depot did a crew review of Husky versus DeWalt. Home Depot owns Husky so it would have an edge regardless of how much of an edge actually exists, but hand waving and conjecture would be widely present, while data may not be.

@@flightsaitek4087 Good point. Seriously, if I even get a whiff of financial bias and/or guesses in a review, I'm done with the reviewer for good. Cheers.

Kaffeemacher youtube channel has tested this professionally and indeed the ascaso does temp stability better then most boiler machines

"I think that you would probably...." Why have you not tested it and measured the actual temperature? Would be appreciated 😉 Standing in the decision process between DB (P300 or RSP) and DT (Ascaso duo steel pid) and this information would be helpful 😅

Wouldn’t the Mio suffer w/ temp in back to back shot scenarios due to cold water being pulled into the boiler? I would think a well designed / implemented thermoblock would be more stable than a boiler. Would like some data to back up claims of better temp stability as it was mentioned over and over.

Nice comparison on these prosumer machines. It seems to me that another benefit of the Ascaso is the larger space between the ports filter, and tray. Therefore it’s able to handle larger cups, than the Mio.

I see that a few people have already called you out on your assertion about the temperature stability of the Steel DUO but as yet you have made no effort to validate it. Can you not at least add a verbal statement or answer the comments below? To my knowledge, the Steel DUO is going to offer a far more stable temperature control, the sensor is also in the brew head making it very representative of actual brew temperature. The boiler in the MIO is more likely to offer inconsistent temperature control with multiple (back to back) shots. I don't have both machines to try, but you do!

I think you are wrong about temp stability the ascaso does it much better then most boiler machines see review and test kaffeemacher on youtube

What is the purpose of the dual thermoblocks with the Ascaso? Is one for brew temp control? If so, are you saying that does not heat the brew water efficiently or maintain consistent temperature? Is there no boiler in the Ascaso? I’m a little confused! Thanks for any clarification!
@marcup1584 Жыл бұрын
You were never replied to and I'm aware this is 6 months old, but the two thermoblocks is because one is dedicated to brewing coffee and the other is for steaming only, so both thermoblocks come on at the same time and go for different target temperatures, so there's zero downtime between brewing and steaming. There is NO BOILER in the Ascaso, which has the advantage of heating up from cold in just 2-5 minutes, as opposed to 10+ with a boiler.

Do you think there is a benefit to have either the stainless steel version or the painted version of the ascaso duo in regards to longevity. Eg resistances to scratches
