I just ordered this, I’m pairing it with a Niche zero grinder. I certainly hopeful that it will be a good setup. The reason I chose the Ascaso over a heat exchanger alternative is the warm-up time. It’s great to be able to take your time to brew, but sometimes I need to go from switch-on to coffee as quickly as possible.

I have a black one for 3 years and never tire of the look. I can tell you having all these features including brew pressure gauge in such a small footprint is unique. The deciding factor for me was the side filling water tank. Perfect for an under counter space!

think it's important to put aesthetics into the equation since you'll have to look at it everyday at home. I came into pit quite fresh without too much knowledge to be frank. I just went with one that looks nice (minimalistic), has all the necessary features (dual boiler pid), easy to clean (big time comparatively to chrome finishes) and one my instructor so happens to be the distributor locally. apologies for the late reply. what have you got after all?
