My Childhood house was right behind Lodhi Colony Railway Station basically Prem Nagar and that platform holds a great nostalgia for me as I used to spend hours sitting on the bench watching train coming and going. I used to put coins on the track just to have a flat deshaped coin to play. Those blocks have been demolished and replaced by Multiplexes. I miss those days like anything. The Lodhi Colony Railway Station platform, a nostalgic haven of my childhood, has been erased. Hours spent watching trains, flattening coins, and dreaming have been replaced by the sterile reality of multiplexes. A piece of my heart remains on that forgotten platform.

Delhi Ring Railway is slated to be merged into DMRC. While people may see silence at railway stations now, soon all these are bound to be removed and replaced with infra like other Metro stations. Currently the ridership, connectivity to RRTS and Metro network is being evaluated.

Kudos to the makers of the film. What would have been a boon & pride for the city, an efficient & convenient mode of public transport, help in traffic decongestion & reduce pollution was driven to its slow death because of lack of interest & planning by the authorities and apathy of dilliwalas with their misplaced notion of upward mobility and weird sense of vanity. Nobody wanted to be associated with a public transport which appeared to be catering for the supposedly lowest common denominator of the population. If revived with due planning & execution, it can wonderfully augment the Delhi metro and, over the years, become a system & institution that the city will be proud of.

congratulations to the makers ... You have effectively captured a pertinent issue. I had used this service for almost a decade during my college days. It was a very cost-effective, fast, and nearly punctual network. A monthly pass of around 100 Rs . would allow you to travel among a given set of stations ( Ghaziabad - New Delhi ) in any of the EMUs and Passenger trains. I believe it is still working intercity but has almost died down within NCR . Very nice

Some 15 years ago I discovered one of the ring railway’s station - SP Marg accidentally and travelled on a local train. It was pathetic to say the least. Drug addicts were ruling the roost in all coaches. There was zero upkeep. For many years I kept telling people about it. Not one person was aware of its existence. Sad.

This film is a realistic reflection.. Another villain is the least bothered insensitive indifferent citizenry of north India. The local trains never took off like Mumbai, Chennai(remember our outpasses) or Kolkata. Least systematic, least contributive lot and always looking over their shoulders for someone to do their thing.Thankfully Pakistan was not blamed for this failure. To top it the govt representative since past 40 years are as good as it's citizenry. Nothing succeeds🤷

Similar apathy is there in Hyderabad suburban system by the railways as SCR is not able to operate its EMU - Local trains properly. Regular delays and cancellations have lead to loss of ridership post COVID era and this is very sad. The Govt tries to promote Metro over Local trains as they are more fancy and built through Pvt partnerships.

after delhi metro no one use EMUs. because these stations are far away from offices. and no commute is available. Some busy emu stations are sardar patel marg, sadar bazar, Tilak Bridge. etc. This station is round residential area and there is no commute available from this station so it is abandoned.
