My favourite dim sum dish is Har Gow prawn dumplings. My favourite Chinese restaurant is Oriental delight in Bournemouth Dorset UK who serves authentic Asian cuisine. I love watching your videos. I am a Hakka British Chinese lady living in the South West of England. I would love to meet Kirsty Lo in person because I have no Chinese friends. All my friends are from other nationalities.

Tq for sharing. I am a Malaysian Hakka, from KL. Your parents and grandma look so healthy. Grandma is very articulate. I understand her Hakka better than yours, because hers is much purer whereas yours seem to have an accent. Your grandma is so cute. 🌹

hi there Chrissie, my mothers side also hails from Malyasia, so hello! I can't help to react to your comment as to Kirsty's accent. If she was born in the UK wouldn't it be logical for her to have a slight accent? Saying her por por's hakka is much purer seems a bit harsh isn't it? I myself just got back from KL few weeks ago. Although my hakka accent is also slightly with Dutch undertone I myself am fluent in it, just as Kirsty is in my humble opinion. my family just praised the fact 'we' (hakka living in western countries) still can speak it at all. So cheers to us all who keep the hakka spirit alive 😍

@@misslee7331 hi MissLee. Welcome back to KL. Hope you had a good visit. No, I am not being harsh, just honest. Hey, that's what Hakka women are famous for. 😂. I know what I am talking about, being a 'banana' myself, 100% English educated, speaking very little Hakka. I lived in Melbourne for some time. My Hakka only improved when I was working in Hong Kong where I had to learn Cantonese, which is quite similar to Hakka. It is just not her accent. It's her pronunciation of certain words, which differ from her grandma. Anyway, I mean no malice; just a straight talking Hakka 'moi'. ❤️

@chrissieng8146 Thank you for your comment Hakka mui Chrissie! Hakka language has various dialects spoken by Hakka communities in different regions, with differences in pronunciation and accents, therefore you may think my Hakka pronunciation differs from your Hakka that you know of. However, we can say the same about your Hakka, you might have an Aussie accent as you’re from Melbourne or even a Cantonese accent, since you only ‘improved’ your Hakka from working in Hong Kong, your Hakka pronunciations may be different to mine. For example, an American speaking English might sound different to an Australian speaking English, due to the different accents and pronunciations, but it’s still the same English language. Either way, whether someone is conversational or fluent in Hakka, we should embrace and understand that the Hakka language is culturally diverse with various dialects spoken by Hakka communities across different regions and countries, so pronunciations can differ from your spoken Hakka and likewise 😃

another lovely hakka video of your lovely hakkafamily )🥰 I wonder, do you ever get 'praise' you got together with another hakka? Cos my hubby is also hakka and whenever I get back to my family back in china and or malaysia they say 'waah ngie he lai woen tau hakka lau' hahaha (btw i was thaught women [ka laukung] and men [ tsie lau pho] maybe different hakka tribe)

Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video 🥰 Good question.. I’ve never really had praise about it, I think people are pretty shocked I got with a Hakka man 😆 But my family do love the fact my husband is Hakka and he can speak it too. Funny thing is my por por and gung gung actually knew my husbands parents back in the day, such a small (Hakka) world!
