Linna said in a video that Dimash could have done the rap part, except he can’t rap in any language but Kazakh. So Linna did it, her first time ever rapping, and she did a fabulous job! I love the pure rich tones of Dimash’s voice in this song, some I’ve never heard before. At the end of the video Linna and Dimash speak very sweetly in English about Jenny Bao’s condition. 😢❤😢

Thank you for your great reaction as always. This was a very emotional performance for a very good cause. When Gong Linna approached Dimash about singing a duet and fill him in with the back story, Dimash whole heartedly agreed. This was a fantastic performance. No one expected the Chinese rap, but it was very powerful and done with such conviction and determination. First time Ms. Gong did a rap. Love and respect for Dimash.

To put this in perspective Jenny Bao as Patricia writes below, is totally paralyzed and can only move one thumb and can only breathe via a ventilator. She uses her thumb to write poetry of which this song is one of her poems set to music. That is her voice at very end of the song. The duet won the Golden Song Award for the "Our Song" tv show season 6.

This is the story behind the song..... Jenny Bao is a girl with SMA who writes poetry. She was born in 2001. She was not even one year old when the doctors predicted 3-4 years for her, but she has been alive ever since. Moreover, she works as the cultural and creative arts director of Jinqi Technology Group Co., Ltd. (Beijing) - while lying in bed. Dimash sang this song in duet with Gong Linna (龚琳娜) in the Chinese show “Our Song” (我们的歌) aired on Dragon TV on 25th August.
