Another reviewer paid him the loveliest compliment, though she didn't understand how. "This one didn't blow me away", she said, with a note of disappointment. I found that to be an unintentional homage to this piece. Here, Dimash, in a sense, steps away, and allows the landscape to shine. He sets aside the stunning costumes, the incomprehensible range and vocal explosions, the endlessly held notes, the soaring runs...this is his humble heart-felt prayer, for his people, his land, all of us. His calling is to reach our hearts and souls, not to out-perform himself in each succeeding performance. Elisabeth, your Dear reviews are so honoring, so comprehending, so professionally astute. Thank you!

Yes I agree. Dimash is at the next level of artistic creativity. Moving or shifting listeners (out of their comfort zones in this case) rather than only entertaining them for a minute.

I think so many are accustomed to Dimash hitting insanely high notes and surprising them. When a song is less flashy like this one and "My Swan" they find it disappointing. Personally I think this song is one of my favorites. I can feel every word he's singing even though I don't know the lyrics. Everything about this song and video is achingly beautiful.

Musically, it’s started from minor, stays in minor with grey landscape, then ended in major as visualised by the greenery over the grey rock. It’s also started from the past, through the present, and then at the end it’s a better future. Very heavily symbolic, its visual is a work of arts. The music is a praying for the suffering of the world. The instrument and Dimash voice blended in and out together without one overtook another. Dimash was crying without crying, his voice is just on the edge of his breath, always on the precipice to quietness. Excellent breath control throughout.

Awee... thank you such for such a beautiful way to explain to those of us that are not musicians those crying tones Dimash makes that sound like he’s about to breakdown crying. When Dimash makes those sounds it makes me tear up!

For me this was like a desperate cry to god imploring him to protect Kazakhstan and in a broader sense, the world. After drought, rain. Them burning was the edge and kind of their limits and dimash raising his arms to the sky with the thunderstorm going on... then the contrast between the dry land the dark colors to a greener Kazakhstan

If only I could give this video 10 thumbs up!!! Truly, this effort you made to stop your reaction / analysis video to find English for the dramatic introduction was in itself epic. I watched 7 other reaction videos to the "Qairan Elim" video, and no one else could be bothered to self-educate before nor to educate their viewers & susbscribers. AWESOME job, Elizabeth!! Additionally, your comments about the symbolism - and the fact that you did not impose your own impressions, but instead let each of us absorb the video on our own - AWESOME. So many today no longer have any understanding of allegory and deeper symbolism, sadly, other than the Golden Arches, network logos and such. Really love that you, too, identified from the start the hopeful message, and did not let the depth of the voice of the narrator lead you astray down a dark and negative path. Excellent video experience -- Instead of 10 Thumbs Up, how about 10 standing ovations?!! - Seriously - I stood and applauded you at the end of this video!

Agree! There are thousands of stupid "reaction" people, people who actually analyse, not just react (producers, singers, musicians, coaches) are 1000x more interesting than all the stupid reacts. I feel like the vast majority reactors are tailcoating on actual artists, are pushing their own brands and just using singers as clickbait. Eiizabeth is the real deal. And a couple of others, like Lenore, Ken, etc.

I discovered your channel a while back, and I just want to drop this here before finishing your entire backlog: It is simply a pleasure to watch you react to all these singers, many of whom I'm discovering right with you. Your comments on vocal technique are insightful, and really show that you know your stuff, but I also love that you're able to offer comments on the production side of these performances! That's something that I don't see talked about often in these reaction vocal coach/teacher react videos, and it's something small that really sets you apart. But aside from that, the sheer passion and joy that radiates from your entire being when you watch a great performance is just infectious. You have this amazing composure (the word classy simply doesn't do it justice), but then you geek out over some tiny detail that I missed and I'm torn between just watching you do your thing and trying to see what you're pointing out so that I can follow along with your explanation. All that is to say: thank you for your amazing content!

With love for you my homeland, I pray for peace on earth! What is the meaning of life without trials? Difficulties temper, And the tempered cannot be broken... But only time will heal everything... Chorus: Oh, my holy land, I pray for only one thing - May your heart beat forever. Let all sorrows and hardships be forgotten, Let the sun and moon shine forever. I really like your approach and your large amount of respect and warmth for the artist (I can only speak for the Dimash reactions, as I'm only here because of him). You are very attentive, interested, and you have an amazing perception. Of course, as a "Dear" I am always happy to see that a reacter is genuinely impressed, enthusiastic or moved by Dimash's performances. I think that goes without saying. But to watch you, with your really extraordinary expertise, how your face brightens up with the first sound of his voice and to see the various facial expressions you show during his performances .... this is pure joy and for me again a confirmation of his great ability, his extraordinary talent and his uniqueness. Thanks for that. I also love to listen how you speak, because your pronunciation of words, consonants and vowels is extraordinary and impressive to me. I am looking forward to further reactions about Dimash and wish you all the best, health, safety and a lot of fun in everything you do. I saw 1 "vocal coach" (who shall remain nameless) who said after seeing the video that there weren't enough high notes...if I was subscribed to him, I would've unsubscribed! This song is so deep & that reactor is sooooo shallow. Right there I started wishing for your analysis! Hopefully this isn't a spoiler, but there are just enough high notes for the song, the ones that are there are very effective. I love Dimash's high notes & always get a thrill from them, but at the same time I no longer care at all whether there are ANY high notes in a song - I KNOW that he will always put himself into each song 1000%, & that's all I need! I don't know for sure, but there may be more emotion in Dimash's vocal in Qairan Elim than any other song he's done - it's definitely in the "top most emotional" list. Hopefully I can be here for the live chat, but really looking forward to this video in any case!

Elizabeth, I impressed that you are always so prepared, knowing and sharing the background of the song. And you give very interesting insight into details that most would otherwise miss.

Dimash and Morisette are the best in the world. A concert of the two in Madison SquareGarden would be a hamdinger ! 12hours, continues ....at '$ 10,000 dollars a seat. Then , I woke up . I did't. Have a seat !l. This is outstanding.

Thank you as always for your excellent review and commentary. Shot in black and gray (except for the blood and fire ), I love that there is a message of hope as a colorful day is revealed over the mountains at the end. Also, I understand several friends and one of his beloved music teachers died from covid-19. Perhaps the piano player falling into the water represents this loss?

Great review, as always! :) Love to watch them! You're unique in how professionally and impartially you can evaluate such different music styles, even if they are far from your regular repertoire :) I'd really love to hear your reaction to Luca Turilli's RHAPSODY - 'PROMETHEUS' - LIVE @ MASTERS OF ROCK :) There is some really interesting duet, and live shows are always the best to judge :)

Hi Elizabeth, your reaction tugs in my soul as usual. I've seen a dozen other comments on this mv, but yours is of course the best❤️ These song/video are brilliant in their simplicity and intensity, they touches me constantly and brings to mind the difficult history of my country🇵🇱😍 I love this text so much! Regards, I send hugs and look forward to your next movies🙋♀️🎶😘

Loved your reaction. That sound you heard in the scene with the smooth lake was a pebble dropped in the smooth lake. You can see it. Loved this video. Dimash just keeps surprising us. Keep reacting. We all love it. Bev

Thank you Elizabeth for this amazing reaction! So far, you are the only one who commented on Dimash's breathing at the end of some notes, as a continuation of the singing. I agree with you completely. The very first time I listened to this MV, I noticed this and was amazed at this characteristic aspiration. Usually we rarely hear Dimash inhale even before very long notes, but here I am sure it is intentional. And it really works for great emotionality. I love all your reactions to Dimash!

Lyrycs: Even if the tears have touched your eyes You do not need to hide your feelings. With love for you my country, I pray for peace on earth! What is the meaning of life without proof? Temperament difficulties, And temperament cannot be broken ... But only time will heal everything ... Chorus: Oh my holy land I pray for only one thing: May your heart beat forever. May all sorrows and tribulations be forgotten, Let the sun and the moon shine forever. May there be joy in every home and the children's ring of laughter, And I wish prosperity for everyone!Even if the tears have touched your eyes You do not need to hide your feelings. Grasias
