About the rock scream - If you look at the official Queen video, Freddie does the same thing at that point in the song. He did a similar one in the Queen medley he did with the Super Vocal Boys on Singer 2019.

One of the things I love about The Singer vids is the faces of his competition. In the first video (SOS) there is a lot of shock. As the show continues the expressions morph to shock, awe, & acceptance

What a legend... I don't know this Dimash guy, and I didn't listen to much Freddie Mercury. But he was iconic and legendary, and anyone who tries a song like this should be commended. 😊 And my goodness!! It was clear from the start that he has a huge following and is respected. I wasn't sure why but I know there was a reason, then at the end of the song I can see what the big deal is!!

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than seven languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices like "Marcelito", Dimash has his own style and is the creator of the "Popera" he also has a very pleasant, humble and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, Tenor, Sopra no, against Tenor, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, whistle tone, reaching a D8 live at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela, "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 I Love You 😍

Great post, but "Popera" started in 1986 by Luciano Pavarotti and continued with groups like IlDivo, Josh Groban, The Tenors, and others. But Dimash has brought a much younger audience into the fold.

I'll leave vocal technique analysis to you, Elizabeth, since you know the subject well and I don't. I'm mostly following the *energy level* of Dimash's performances and the way he conveys emotions. His signature performance style - though occasionally he departs from it (Ogni Pietra, for example), is to start with quiet dynamics and build to a crescendo. If he feels kindly, he'll give us a denouement to let us back down gently (Passione), but if he wants to leave us hanging, he'll launch us emotionally high into the air and let us crash back to the ground on our own. This song makes me go "splat!" It's an emotional shocker. The emotional distance between quiet dynamics and crescendo is immense with Dimash. We think we've heard him ratchet up the dynamics as high as they will go, but no - he has another level beyond that, and another, and another... he makes my heart race. That isn't a good thing at my age! Freddie Mercury did that, too, but the dynamic distance Dimash travels is greater, I think. How does he manage to deliver seamless transitions between vocal techniques with no pauses to reset his vocal chords? His air is still flowing as he does it. I don't know how *anyone* can do that. You left 100,000 subscribers in the dust, Elizabeth, you're already a third of the way to the next hundred thousand. Take advantage! Your followers would like to hear *your* music, too. Cheers!

не вижу причин для восторга, честно говоря, все каверы это просто конарейки, которые выучили чужую песню, в данном случае талантливая конарейка , но по подаче он такой же как базарная, песня для него чужая и пустая, просто демонстарция возможностей голосовых связок.

Personally, I couldn't care less about Dimash's English. When I hear him sing this song Freddie lives once more in my heart. I know Dimash put a lot of heart in singing this. You can hear the heartbreak in his voice. I gives me goose bumps.

Waiting for this❤️ Vocals are amazing, pronunciation is, well... 😄 I guess you will be able to find a few mispronunciations, but since the arrangement is so great and i love Dimash's rock-tone, i really enjoy it. At this time he spoke no english at all, he learnt the song phonetically. Still great though🤗

Trolls, my guess some reactors themselves are highly jealous of Dimash. Just by watching these reactors you can see jealousy all over their face trying to find some criticism of him and then they won't cover Dimash again as when compared against themselves they can never measure up. Many are the so called vocal coaches instead of appreciation of his talent they are jealous. Not only is he better at singing he is to die for handsome..can you imagine the whole package what's not to be jealous of.

Dear Elizabeth I just adore your reactions, and this one more particularly so! I encountered Dimash during the Singer 2017 Competition, and have probably listened to all his performances since. But through your most informative and educational comments, I'm really re-experiencing even some of his most-listened to songs. You so beautifully point out often-missed nuances. It's almost as if I'm listening to some of his songs for the first time. Thanks for that! CHEERS! A most ardent fan of yours (and Dimash!) from Cape Town, South Africa.

He could barely say 'Hi & how are you?" in English at this time. And he had 1wk to learn the song. I love seeing how far he's come with English too! You are right - he is a brave singer! He will pour all that he has into a performance. Loved your reaction(s)!! :D Loved your surprise and then your explanations! Dimash really knows how to gain everyone's total & complete attention & awe!!! Thank you!

Thank you for this reaction. It is the most detailed I have seen with similar reviews and it's jam-packed with information. Most of all, I like that you are open, positive and appreciative of Di's talent and effort. He may not be perfect at the language (yet) but his passion and intensity more than make up for it, and he keeps getting better, even on his already impeccable vocals. What I would like to see here is an understated piece called 'War & Peace' which he composed himself. It is decidedly different from the rest with a great message. It's also the first song on his first album 'ID' previously released in China. Try looking for the Shenzen concert version. Thanks again from Aus
