Dimash is a genius! A great storyteller and paradigm breaker! Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality... Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is: A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures. Iskander Yerbolat's plot intrigues us to solve the mystery of the entire tale being a dream of a journalist who interviews “DQ”, or being a reality where the “vampire” did not bite his “prey” out of love! The video is a show in itself: Desaturated with vivid red details (umbrella, blood in the hands, blood in the pool, advertising sign, neon on the mirror...), a classic Rolls Royce, a gloomy and modern mansion and lots of details. To create an old and suspenseful atmosphere, he does not use the 1968 edition and recording, by Joan Sutherland and Jane Berbié, but rather the original version from 1915, sung by Alexandrovna Mikhailova and Ivanovna Panina, recorded with a gramophone! The music video is a story that pays homage to several classic dramas involving supernatural creatures and passion! The impeccable editing with precise cuts that complete the script, simple and extremely efficient effects and masterful performances: Dimash (the seductive and tormented vampire, Polina Guzieva (the passionate journalist), Manuel de Jesús Sánchez Sotolongo (the sinister butler) and the harem of soulless vampires (Angelin Sapozhnikova, Valeriya Lyasheva, Andreana Tkachenko, Maria Aristatarkhova, Lilia Kiser and Klinnyushina Alina), superb! That is not Dimash singing the opening/closing background music. That is an original recording from 1915. Dimash said he composed this to be a blend of blues, R&B and Rock.

Known in the corporate community as "a top notch executive who sets a high bar for himself and those around him, surrounds himself with the best and expects it" According to industry journals a " tough negotiator, swift decision maker, always prepared, doesn't compromise, always a gentleman but doesn't suffer fools". Multi faceted, he recently accepted appointment by the UN in Geneva as a Regional Director for Migrants and writing his Doctoral thesis for his PhD in Composition. He's been singing since the age of 5, still practices a minimum of 3 hours a day, concerts booked months in advance, it would stand to reason his need to branch out. Years ago they hired an international strategic planning firm to map out a career, education and life plan, it is my understanding it's been changed and modified over the years due to extenuating circumstance ( the pandemic etc) and he continues to work closely with them. He's been in film school master classes in the States as time permits. He is very involved with his clan in Kazakhstan, a direct descendant of a 15th century noble family of the Khanate of the Junior Zhuz, family and genealogy is of extreme importance in the culture there, as the elder son he is ceremonial head of the clan and that entails a lot of responsibilities and duties such as Tusau Kisu which he is said to take with gravity and seriously and performs them with "dignity and decorum".

I grew up there, an American, my father is a petroleum engineer in Kazakhstan, I'm not some nutcase Kazakhophile. 👋🤣 Our parents, friends from working on various charities together.
