the back half (the Diva Dance) is from the movie The 5th Element, only I believe in that movie they had to cut together meany audio samples to get the scene done, Dimash is doing it all live. Thats nuts.

This is one instance where I wouldn't recommend the Gloria Wu version. I just don't think that for a person's first experience of the performance, the translation makes up for the performance footage lost by the inserting of the movie clips. She replaced many highlights of the performance.The relationship between Dimash and the dancer gives you a clue anyway. I still think her videos of Singer (2017) Episode 7 "Daididau", and Episode 8 "Daybreak" , with the subtitles, and the backstories in the intros, are necessary in order to tell what is going on in those episodes. In this version of "The Diva Dance" (sung by the blue alien in the movie The Fifth Element), he replaced a very alien sounding part with those repeated staccatos, but in the version from the Bastau concert he put this difficult descending run in that place. Watch the version of this from Singer 2017 to see what you missed.

Dear Schnell, my answer is the same because I don't want to have to go through the trauma again of learning to deal with my monthly visitor. I LOVE your Lipstick & top as I have a LOT of my favorite, PINK makeup and clothes. This was during the I Am A Singer 2017 in China for Professionals & Wildcard Dimash. He came in 2nd because the rules didn't allow a foreigner to win that year but they changed it for the following year which allowed Jessie J to win. For Confessa Dimash sang the first verse in Mandarin for the benefit of the audience. Then he changed to the usual language of the song, Italian. The Diva Dance is from the Movie The Fifth Element that used a female singer as a blue alien and they added NON HUMAN sounds from a synthesizer so that it would be impossible to sing but they didn't count on Dimash showing up. 🎶👱‍♀️👗👠👠💓

I loved seeing the version with the live performance. This re-editted version is a mess. Absolutely hate it. What is the point of a live performance if your going to cut most of it out and add movie footage. The best thing about Dimash is his voice and the emotion he puts into his performance. A one , two punch. You really should see the other performance. And also the duet version. Drunken conquering version ??????. Can't remember what it's call.

I think the movie clips distracted from the performance at bit, not that it diminished the brilliance of Dimash in any way! Dimash's Diva Dance at Bastau Concert is probably better and you should check it out when you get the chance.

Thank you for reacting again to "Prince" Dimash. The song "Confessa" is Italian in its original version by a very famous Italian singer in Italy called "Adriano Celentano" and it is a very sad song because it speaks of a man who is left by his woman and after having spent beautiful moments together he no longer recognizes her in fact the refrain says "But because you are another woman, but because you are no longer you" (translated into English) As always Dimash in addition to singing it perfectly even not being a native Italian speaker interprets it very well because he knows what the text means. As for "Diva Dance" it is a song that is part of the film "The fifth element" where there is a computer reconstructed alien who sings this area (even the voice is computer reconstructed in fact it was said that it was impossible to sing for a human being even if many have tried) but as you know very well Prince Dimash is not human... hehehe!! The first time I heard this I was so much younger watching the 5TH ELEMENT movie. Not sure if it was the original performance (was it specifically written for the movie???), by a multi-mouthed alien of all things, and I was never into opera back then. BUT that performance in the middle of a campy sci-fi Bruce Willis movie really stuck with me, I never forgot the song! Now years later I've seen other singers perform it, including my cousin Lani Misalucha from the Philippines, and Dimash did such an amazing job..with the blue alien Diva Dance lol

to be honest if i have to choose.. i had rather not having the sub than not seeing Dimash hahaha. that clip take away the beauty of Dimash's performance. and to answer your question.. i would love to know what i know now when I was 5.. ther are so many reason for that.. one of them, so that I'm not missing my 3 whole years of not knowing Dimash, that is one of my biggest regret. btw you should react to Dimash "know" for more fun.. there are basically two version.. lyric and vocalise. for lyric.. check Dimash new wave 2019 performance. and for vocalise... actually each performance extremely magical but to make easy.. just go for "know (vocalise) Kiev concert"

I would not care to go back to age 5 knowing everything I know now. Maybe that is why, because I know the pain and challenges that life throws at us. I have overcome everything to this date in my life and would not care to be confronted with these things again. Knowing what more I may achieve in my life (the little that is left) also seems like it would be counter productive. I guess I prefer to just continue moving forward and be surprised by whatever happens. I couldn't listen to the video all the way through though...just can't warm up to Dimash...

Hi Schnell, really enjoyed this, but you might want to put another Dimash video on your reaction calendar, in which he does a song and dance (moonwalk) imitation of Michael Jackson...very entertaining !! Also, I just happened to see for the 1st time, a Pentatonix video that dates back 8 years ago, called "Gangum Style" (singing in KOREAN language) shortly after they won the Sing Off competition. It's SUPER fun and entertaining that really shows not only their talent, but reflects how much they have grown...it's also beautiful to see how much they relate to each other (P.S Scott and Kirstie really shine) !!

The original video was from the singer 2017. It shows the entire performance of Dimash. I don't know who put that 1940's movie spliced into the performance. But they ruined it. Maybe they thought splicing the movie into it was a way to get around the copyright. Who knows, but the movie ruined the performance which is excellent with the lady dancing. What were they thinking?
