What a FIDE World Championship Match we are having on our hands! One decisive game after another. After leading the match 3-2, Ian Nepomniachtchi was looking in great form. Ding Liren came to the board confused about which opening he should try and he opened with 1.d4 and very soon we witnessed the London System - an opening that has been tried for the first ever time in a World Championship Match. The game was extremely exciting and it was a decisive one. Who came out on top and what were the many intricacies that this game witnessed - check it out in this video with the analysis of IM Sagar Shah.

Nepo have tried to make counter attack bravely but unfortunately he was failed. Ding successfully managed to make a mating net so brilliant by placing d5 and h5 with very good coordination with queen, rook and knight. What a great game by Ding.

What a checkmate finish,if only nepo would have let him finish it.
@stagna1959

Before white could checkmate, there was some ugly useless black moves to prolong the game 27:32 and noone wants to play 1...Qf4+ 2. Nxf4 a1=Q 3.Rxa1 line It would look childish in World Championships. Checkmate net Ding found was impressive, but stupid black sacrifices if they continued until the end would ruin that beautiful impression.

Last match Ding told this loss hurts me more than the previous loss and the reporter was asking him again what he heard was right… Ding open minded and very honest… no ego and hence his brain is working perfectly during the match to find insane mating patterns ❤🥰

I watched the press conference, I think Ding didnt said magnus is more professional I think he said magnus is more perfectionist. I think he wanted to say Magnus is more perfect compared to them and hence when he plays the results is most often one sided. And I think this is really something to think about in a game like chess.
@Velvet-ni6pu
@Velvet-ni6pu Жыл бұрын
I heard professional tbh. Perfectionist doesn't make sense in that context because the question was about decisive games but ding was explaining why magnus had more draws because hes professional to not let any worse positions get to a loss. Besides Ding himself is such a perfectionist and every top chess player sort of has to have that quality to be there.

@@Neelinmact You should say as it is according to you.. Otherwise it's not the "extremely good" that too in the last 2-3 world championship matches.. These games are not accurate according to engines.. There 99% accurate both sides in a game in the previous world championship matches, such games are "extremely good" types. I don't know what made you think this game "extremely" good..

@@kirtikanth of course it’s according to me , you shareed your opinions so did i , how many chess games in last 2-3 world championships (in which we got a result) had near perfect engine accuracy ,, perfect engine move games don’t create an exciting game ,, it would most likely be a boring draw ,, creating such an exciting game with London system is extremely good ,, the see saw nature of this encounter makes it extremely good to watch ,,
