Paul, thank you for your excellent videos. You’re the only guy that actually features multiple dinghies, sailed in your raids, in lakes along the coastline. I’m a retired vet with many questions about cruising dinghies. I have a good book by Roger Barnes; however, that you actually feature your friends and give brief descriptions of their boats is wonderful. Thanks again from…East Tennessee.

I'm guessing that the Bolger Martha Jane named Shirley Valentine is the same one that Graham built in Camden South about 1995. He called it Shirley Valentine. It originally was dark green with tan sails. I lived 4 doors away and used to go down and watch the progress. He loved that boat. He called it his masterpiece. I thought it was a bit weird at the time, boxy, square, leeboards, not looking like most sailboats I knew.

I did need this. We are in spring here in North America, but you would never know it. It's been a cold and wet one, with almost an additional 20 cm of rain above our normal yearly amount. It was also 10 degrees above freezing today, so not the kind of weather you think for getting the dinghy out. I just need a few days to replace a broken stringer on my Series 1 Gp14, and then I can head out again. Hopefully the new smaller "working" jib instead of a lapper will make her a little less headstrong.
