Wanted to share a “Pro Tip” regarding dried up paint brushes. Soak bristles overnight in fabric softener then comb the bristles in the morning with an old man comb. Wash it up and it’s like a new brush.

While it coasts a few dollars more, with that layout for cabinets, I would have suggested two 24" cabionets and two 12" cabinets (24" - 12" - 24" - Frig - 12"). This allows for each door to be the same size and give a more symetrical look. If worried about having items longer than 23" fitting in the base cabinets, you could also do a 48" and 12" on the one side and 12" on the other. Again the doors remain the same size, but not sure if Lowe's carries the 48" cabinet in stock.

Put your brush in Goof Off and let it set over night, then clean the paint out the next day. Be sure to dry well to avoid stiffness. If it is a little stiff just break it free.

Yeah we didn’t have room for a 24 inch lower cabinet and I didn’t want the top and bottom cabinets to be in plane with each other so that is why I furred them out.

Tell me something every time I see a person put in cabinets they always put the bottom in first and then put the top. How come they never do it the right way put the top in first get them all set up I’ll put together whatever they need to have done. I mean everything and then put the bottoms in afterwards I would think that would be a hell of a lot easier that’s how I did it when I owned the home I put the tops in first and then I put the bottoms in and it worked out fantastic. Just a heads up I’m just so curious how your people build homes never in my life I’ve ever seen cabinets go up top first bottom bath last, just give me a heads up Alan from Massachusetts
