Octavia Cunningham they are truly a fantastic couple who are fun and interesting and present information in a captivating way. I get a good feel for the ship, the food and activities and it’s a tremendous help when booking a cruise and once on the ship you already know the layout and where you want to go. The food at the Food Republic looks good. I agree with you about the atmosphere. Just seeing it in this video I can tell that it is my type of restaurant. I like the laid back style of it, ordering on an iPad and the counter chairs overlooking the water. I am also a big sushi fan. Great video! Looking forward to the next vlog. Hope you enjoyed the cruise.

The food looks so good. Is it just me..while the interactive menu looks great it is also a sanitation nightmare! Sanitation wipes should be at each table to avoid illness. I absolutely love the videos keep them coming please 😁

The Philly roll is one of my favorite sushi rolls, along with the Rainbow roll and Mango roll. And it's cool that Food Republic not only has the Asian food, but the Latin American food as well. Out of curiosity, is there a way to remove or add on items to each dish? I'm not a fan of scallions and it looks like a lot of dishes have a ton of them, so I'd like a way to remove these from any dish I ordered..

You definitely get a lot of food at Food Republic. The only thing I do not like as a solo traveler is that it is hard to choose only 4 items when they have all those delicious options. I bet a group of 4-5 people would be great because you could sample a little of everything. Wit that said, I still would choose Le Bistro, Cagney's, or Los Lobos over Food Republic. There is just so much amazing food on NCL ships!

Order your pho with no noodles and extra veg. Most places are happy to do that for you and you don't have to dodge those pesky noodles😊

Great video. We totally agree that cream cheese has no place being in a sushi roll. As someone else commented, combine the soy sauce and wasabi together in a small dish to make a paste, it's excellent.

Guys need your help, wife & I, just came back from a cruise through Panama Canal. We have booked our 8th cruise, next year going through the Norwegian Fjords, again on Holland America. Food republic seems to be its own thing on NCL Bliss and Encore (both are in the Breakaway Plus class, I believe). “The Local” seems to be the 24hr restaurant in on these two ships in place of O’Sheehan’s. I believe that O’Sheehans remains the 24hr option on the Breakaway & Getaway.

Guys what Cruise was you on, when you had the interior room. I’m trying to explain to my wife, how big the room was, & all the closet space you had. We’ve done 7 Holland America Cruises. Now we’re thinking of changing it up a little. & so undecided what ship to choose. Any recommendations from you, would help us so much.

We have taken many cruises in interior cabins. The most recent was on the Carnival Vista. We did not feel crammed at all in these cabins, we have two connecting. There is a little less closet space than a balcony because of the shape of the room but we have always had enough storage. Hope this helps!

Norwegian looks like a more entertaining and activity-driven atmosphere then crystal or the more ultra-luxury themed cruise lines. Is this a true statement? Thinking a taking a cruise from Singapore but can't decide what cruise line to take. Money no option just looking for a fun atmosphere for 30yr old couple

Hi Mark, yes this is a true statement. NCL appeals to all ages and has activities for the young to the young at heart. But there is still a luxury in staying in the Haven area which is a luxury ship within a cruise ship. We will have a Haven tour posted later this week. I took my first cruise last October. First day woke up with horrible sea sickness. I needed Bonine, Dramamine, Benadryl and essential oils behind the ears to get me through it. I would recommend starting what ever meds you take before you set sail so it is in your system. My first day was ruined being nauseated and dizzy.

No they go to one port but they dont have to leave fast since its not far. That doesnt sound that great tbh idk if id personally like that. The best part of cruises is seeing new ports and sailing in the middle of the ocean and seeing new countries... but the ship is like a vacation in itself too i suppose😂

Hmm, Food Republic. I'd go if it was an actual Dim Sum place but when you add the word 'fusion' into any food description I'm outta there. I was really bummed when my favorite Chinese place in London switched over to being a fusion place.

I had sushi with cream cheese in Bali. It was almost bleu cheese flavored and really threw me off compared to what im used to! Maybe it was the same kind of cream cheese you guys were dealing with!
