My old head chef was a traditionalist and would have blown a casket seeing this , He was French by the way , Andre leaser, he drummed into us as commis chefs , Waiters are there too serve my food , neither too cook it at the table , dress it at the table , or have anything whatsoever to do with it apart from receive it from the chef and place it at the table for the customer to enjoy it 😱

@@petrus666loveactually this type of service predates the whole "waiters just serve food" culture. Traditionally the maitre de was tasked with prepping certain types of food

Went there for dinner 25 years ago. I had the tasting menu. What I remember was dining room , lots of flowers and tableware. It was a place with so many items in a dish they all cancel each other out. Dinner was so- so , but for dessert they gave us maybe 6 plates of. cakes and treats from the trolly, also long on presentation. One funny then was a very small black man dressed up like a bellhop in a red double breasted tunic. It reminded me of the monkey and organ grinder. I remember thinking that as racist as it was, they would never get away with that in America. How things change.

this is exactly my kind of place, unfortunately no woman has ever accept my request to take her out on a date to a fancy place like this, because woman for some reason always reject me, most woman prefer the obnoxious jocks and tall overly social CHADS rather than a supreme gentleman like myself, life is so cruel, i have the money i have style i have class, yet no beautiful woman wants to go out with me even to a fancy place like this, too bad.
