Dior Homme "Silver Stem" [EDT Review] I TheTopNote

Today I am doing a Dior Homme EDT Review. This is the "silver stem" version, which I am told is a bit of a unicorn these days!
I am very grateful to my friend Khos who was so willing to share this for the purpose of review (indeed this review was by request!). I have really enjoyed my time with this fragrance.
It took me some time to get around to reviewing this, as...well...lets just say that Dior Homme Silver Stem is a bit daunting because A LOT of people love this one. Also it is iconic because it was probably instrumental in changing the direction of mens fragrances in subsequent years.
I hope you enjoy my review and impressions of this fragrance.
Have you ever tried this? What were your thoughts? How do you think it compares to the Parfum and Intense versions that are so popular these days?

Stamped Silver Stem . Not jealous . _grumble grumble grumble_ . Really glad your part of the community. I have a bottle of Homme Eau from 2014. I put some on just a little while ago. Was surprised to see the community not embracing it. I like it . Last decently on me. Great review.

2005 - 2009 silver stem. 2010 was when it got reformulated and the stem was changed from silver to Black. My 2007 bottle has Dior on the Stem and you are correct in saying the 2009 silver stem didn't have the Dior on the stem.

Agree with the Parfum, nice but was too much personally, had to let it go. The 2007 Homme EDT is another story, just perfection and so smooth. The pinnacle of my collection. I’ll never be able to replace it, so I ration carefully. Enjoyed the review. ❤️❤️

Great review Cherie. The new Dior Homme 2020 is ok, but this is one of the best scents of the last 20 years. Brilliant composition from Olivier Polge.

Hi Cherie, I just bought a decant of Dior Homme Parfum - beautiful! Unfortunately it's as quiet as it is gorgeous 😢 call me a noob but I want to smell my perfume during the day. It doesn't have to be the whole 24h but give me smth!... This journey ends on a sample (the DHP that is)...

This was a wonderful review. I’ve wanted to smell this original version for years. Have you smelled the 2011 reform (black stem, pre-2020)? And if so, how would you compare them?

I know what you mean by that prickly feel. To me, the newer formulations have tamed it a bit, but my bottle has the same effect. Desperately saving my juice and using alternatives on a daily basis. For the better part of 25 years, I considered the original to be the pinnacle of men's designer perfumery. Now that it's been replaced in North America, the value will only continue to go up.

I think so, when I was researching this I recall I did come across some information stating not all silver stems had the stamp.

Hi there, yes I believe it is from 2007. The batch code is engraved on the back near the base, but the info on the bottom is not.
