acephantom903 what do u mean by, "the heat melting resin"?
@acephantom9038 жыл бұрын
Shellbug-Michelle Greene Epoxy resin melts if you heat it too much. When epoxy resin sets, it can get extremely hot. Hot enough to cause steam from the humidity in the air depending on the type and how much is trying to cure.

I've done this. I got a 20 oz glass jar at walmart. drilled a hole in the bottom with a diamond drill bit. and slid 3 RGB LEDs through the hole. Then i poured just enough resin to cover the LED's and fill the hole (i had a small amount of leakage get onto my desk. but I knew that meant the hole was clogged). Then i poured water to fill the rest of the jar. And i programmed a tiny little chip with 8kb of storage called a microcontroller. It was set to fade between about 70 colors. I gave it to a friend as a nightlight.

You already did the dipit with the pepper grinder made from peppercorns, how about a coffee grinder made from dipped coffee beans? If you did one of the old style ones with the grinder on top and a box with a drawer on the bottom, you could make the box sides from coffee bean resin panels, then use wood to make a frame for them to slide into, as well as the top, bottom, and drawer. I'm thinking either walnut to blend it all together, or maple to give it some contrast.

I know this video is a bit old but still a favorite. I'm also sure you've found some way of correcting the sticky bottom on the first dandelion dip but if you haven't, may I suggest a thin base for it. One that doesn't take away the aesthetics from the dip but just enough to show off the project and make it a little more easy on any contacting surface. just an idea.
