1978, I graduated from MCAS San Diago USMC, we were the last 3rd Battalion series, to get sateen's(green)/and the 1st woodland camo. We were allowed to wear them throughout our full service. As long as they were serviceable.

Great video. I believe the US adopted that woodland camo in the early 80's but I could be wrong.

Hey Diplex, Been following your channel on and off since your first Shogun 2 campaign which was *gulp* 11 years ago, was wondering how you've felt about content creation on KZbin during that massive timeframe? Do you enjoy your current format of videos more, less or indifferently to your old Let's Play videos back in the day?

It would have been amazing if there was more variety of nations involved in this battle, other than just U.S. and German forces, but it was great nonetheless.

This era is very underrated as the cold war gone hot settings are considered. US struggling with demoralized armed forces and the Soviets still being in the arms race.

Hey diplex, love the content and the battle! gotta warn ya that KZbin is hiding all videos with the name of russian/soviet. all videos with those in the title get like 0 views as it hides it from your subscribers and the algorithem. Again love what you do!

You know what a weird stuff is that would have russians and ukranians fighting along side shoulder to shoulder to defend Sebastopol. Way far than today that maybe will be one against the other.

I'm shit in scripting. My scenario would be some kind of 1948 (or 1946 where the assassination of Hitler was successful in '44) where Allies with Germany against the USSR. But because of US resources German troops would be equipped with the STG-44.

love the landings, does the "emit" trigger not work? if the infantry deployed early, you would have to either disable AI of the units deploying or remove the "emit passenger" able in the vehicle section
@DiplexHeated Жыл бұрын
The issue is that they sometimes deploy on script and sometimes not. Not sure why. One of the helicopters did emit correctly, as can be seen by how they remain by the helicopter. But I wasn't taking any chances with the rest.
@PixzL. Жыл бұрын
@@DiplexHeated i'm not personally familiar with scripting a helicopter, but from what I can guess is that it may be an actor state issue or even a player issue. I know from many tests that AI who are neutral or are on the opposing team will ignore triggers whereas if they were allied to both the enemy and friendly teams - they will follow whatever triggers are given to them. I definitely did not explain that clearly but I hope the point remains. :]
@PershingOfficial Жыл бұрын
@@DiplexHeated that is quite odd! I’ve worked with emitting helis in Gates of Hell and not run into this issue.

Usually the side with the higher quality in training and logistics win
@rockybrown7678 Жыл бұрын
@@RasEli03 this was clearly not the case. I didn’t see the mass-produced RPG-7 in most of the defensers hands, considering they were fighting a lost battle against way too many tanks to have a 50/50 win/loose chance. Sending VDV without any AT capabilities? Might aswell send three tanks or one attack helicopter instead, that would even the odds considering the Soviet’s inventory of equipment.
@DiplexHeated Жыл бұрын
@@rockybrown7678 They had 1 RPG-7 per 10 men.
@rockybrown7678 Жыл бұрын
@@DiplexHeated Seems too little considering the reinforcements barely had any even though they would surely know of the tanks before being deployed. Video was great, but it lacked the balance your previous videos have. I thought you tested each scenario to give the outcome a different ending every time. This one seemed doomed the second the tanks were involved.
