Friends, he is unique! He is simply inimitable in his dialogue with Clark on 10.42 and 13.06

His dad died by the end of 1991. TOL was his father´s favorite song, a sad story. We(fanatics) like TOL so much. This song was the one I always wanted to play with a guitar and I did some time after. This mandela version I guess was the first time Mark played the Pensa MK1 and the first time he played TOL with the Pensa. He always played it with the Schecter Sunburst.

Probably not exchange to Telegraph. That is one of the best rock songs ever composed. Considering the lyrics, guitar solos, the melody, the piano etc... But Knopfler could never been bettered after the Tunnel of Love solos.... It's magical Mark, thank you!!

One of my fauvorite versión after Sydney 1986 and Alchemy. In this day Mark played the MK1 for this song for the first time. The last solo is fantastic. I believe Mark best time was 1985 to 1988.

The creativity of Mark Knopfler shines even in a rehearsal. He seems preoccupied, but aware at the same time.

I love how he throws "Ghost Riders In the Sky" in there. Pretty good audio although at one point it skipped, but great video nonetheless. Thanks for posting.

I was lucky enough to get taken to the Kinks when I was about 12 by my older brother at Massey Hall in Toronto. Guy next to me passed me a joint, I said "no thanks, I don't smoke" :) This album is so damn honest I want to marry it!

@Guy9998 Is there a little of Springsteen's "Tunnel of love" also, isn't it?

Jack sonny became a father, we know, but I guess Jack broke up with DS after Sidney¨s Concert because we have not seen any Jack gig after that. At Walk of life (main Mandela Concert) Mark said some words about Jack. I believe Mark was nupset of the fact that Jack did not go. Eventhough Eric is better.

@josetxu30 Yeah that one line sounds a bit like the end section of Springsteen's "Tunnel of Love".

@rammers2006 its not true - he doesnt play it simply becuase he is bored of it. Sadly too, because its just about my favourite, or as close i'll get to a fave

@Guy9998 I noticed that too! Guess it was a deliberate tribute to Springsteen :)
