Direct debits for bank switching deals and rewards

Can standing orders work too instead of direct debits?

Every time I have done a switch with the Direct Debits I have they fail to be paid by the bank I have switched too. I then have to set them back up again.

If I am with starling, and don’t want to loose account, I have all my direct debits set up on there. If I then want to make burner account and do switch will I have to manually go onto for example my water bill direct debit and change details to burner account and then do the switch?

Can you use the 50 pence direct debit multiple times for one account? Says you can on the website just checking if this is true

Direct debit is a direct debit let it be for 1 pence

Council Tax direct debits are over 10 months, rather than 12. Would the Council Tax count towards a reward deal on the non-payment month?

With the credit card DDs. I can see them set up in my account now, but i don't use my credit cards so the dd is setup but not payments are actually needed each month. Will this still count for a switch? If it never actually (or rarely) has to take money?

Do standing orders count? I've set up two standing orders to transfer money into other accounts.

I don’t believe so, I believe they only way to pay yourself is to set it up through PayPal, moneybox or plumb etc and then withdraw it back to your account down the line, but I’ve look on the Lloyds switch and it says standing order doesn’t count

The only one that allows standing orders at the moment is First Direct
