Director Sudhir Mishra on Kareena Kapoor's Chameli, paid movie reviews, criticism | Let's Talk

Sudhir Mishra got candid about his journey and some of his best films in an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble. The director talks about his recent show Tanaav season 2. He then goes down memory lane and opens up about his childhood in Lucknow and shares when did fascination for cinema striked him. The director shares how making Jaane Abhi Do Yaaro with 25 actors at a budget of Rs 8 lakhs was difficult. He also recalls how big actors rejected the film. When asked about Chameli, he called that his worst film. He shares how the film was not made as per plan. However, he praises Kareena Kapoor and remarks how dedicated she is as an actor over her craft. He also talks about giving chance to newcomers. Mr. Sudhir Mishra is telling absolute lies in this interview.. First of all Chameli was an excellent script with a screenplay - dialogues, and brilliantly planned shooting script.. Omang Kumar made such an excellent set in Rajkamal Studios. Anant Balani was a maverick filmmaker. He started a trend of making crossover films in India. Remember he also directed Pathar ke phool, Gawahi, Mumbai Matinee, Joggers Park and Chameli. Regarding Chameli, it was a proper script with dialogues for almost 90 pages. We had the entire bound script before starting filming this film.. We have almost shot 11 days in Rajkamal Studio. Unfortunately, Director Anant Balani died during the process of filming this film.. The project was halted for almost 35 to 45 days. PNC has spoken to so many directors about completing this film. Mr. Sudhir Mishra took over the project post Anant Balani's death... Unfortunately, they have only mentioned Original Concept by Anant Balani in film opening credits... First of all, Sudhir Mishra Sahab did not make many major changes in the script, he just made some changes in the original draft... He only brought half of the film out of the sets... Even then, he took credit for the entire film himself... In the starting credits, it is mentioned A FILM BY SUDHIR MISHRA... Mr. Sudhir Mishra, if you do not know how to make a film, then why are you cursing the film and the condition it was in at that time??? This is like the thing that... naach na jane aangan tedha... Wow, sir Wow👏👏👏... Sudhir Mishra ji, you made a bad film... You completely ruined Anant Balani ji's film, and now you are saying that Chameli was the worst film of your career...

i agree that Chameli is not the best film of Sudhir Mishra's career. I think Kareena couldn't do justice to the role of a prostitute. she was a bit raw and her diction needed some work. she appeared a little sophisticated for a street smart sex worker.
