I live in S E Louisiana, we didn't give but an 1'' of rain out of Francine, it's so dry and temps close to a hundred degrees today. We are still in a rain deficit. I would welcome any rain from this next storm.

I'm in Houston and Texas and Louisiana have had more than our fair share of bad storms, floods, power outages and dealing with BS. Katrina was horrendous! I hope it doesn't hit any of us but that you do get some rain just the same!

There’s multiple ways it can go though, some model guidance takes it way further towards the central states after it strikes the eastern gulf coast.

One of the storms that comes to mind unfortunately. Many folks expected Micheal to only reach category 1 or 2 early on including myself so many years ago. I’ve learned better from experience to write off a gulf storm.

Michael was already a Cat 2 north of Cuba. This one doesn't have the same amount of time and is going to face some shear. Max Cat 3 in my opinion.
