I'm 32 years old. I remember the first time I heard Sultans of Swing: it was in 2006, in an old CD that I found in the street, I listened to that CD in my JVC portable disc player in the way to the school. Since that day I was desperate to know the band and the name of the song, since I'm Brazilian and at that time the internet here was in the beginning, for my surprise, my dad was a huge fan of Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler, and I didn't know but he had several vinyls and tapes of the band at the time (and still have). Dire Straits it's my favorite band, and this is my favorite song all time, it reminds me several good things, thanks Mark and guys from Dire Straits, if I love rock music today it's because of this song. Love from Brazil and still wishing to see Mark playing live here.

I was fortunate enough to meet Dire Straits in the 80s, I enjoyed their cassettes, their CDs and a live performance in San Sebastian; they are part of my life and today, decades later, as I write this, I am listening to my 14-year-old daughter playing Sultans of Swing. I am the happiest father in the world.
