Awesome stuff Richard, I’ve been Using the Gt3582R turbo for close to a decade, BTW there are Many Compressor wheel trims even when called Gt3582, Run hard on B20A, B20B, F20c, K20Z, and even LRR 3.7 in-line 5, with water and oil cooled setup. Theese turbos love HEAT, A simple back to back Run with Operating temp heat in the Commpressor side will do wonders. On the street or track, Brake boosting/ two step takes care of most Lag on smaller Displacements, But I have always Loved the feeling of A bigger Turbo Rather than a Big torque smaller turbo that runs out of breath at high RPM. I run my engines to 7k to 10k and need the high rpm flow. Amazing work Richard!!! I’ve even ran back to back comparison with Holset HX35w turbos and they seem to be similar as long as the Hot side AR is closely matched to engine displacement and RPM requirements. Slant 6 with a single Gt35/HX35 would be Amazing!!!

Hey Rich your not lazy! You are a beast. Please revisit this test with a 5.3 with stock heads, and just a cam/springs upgrade something in the .6teens or twenties and of course ring gap and slowly increase boost. I know you stated you were crunched for time but I think there's alot left on the table. This doesn't warrant expensive CNC ported heads because let's face it if a guy is going to put forged internals, a fancy Lsxr intake, and CNC'd heads he ain't gonna buy $120 turbos. How did they hold up? That's been my biggest question. I have seen some guys have some really good luck with cheap Chinese turbos on Honda's etc, seen a few bad ones too, but def way more good than bad, so I had no doubt these would perform relatively well, and def make power on his 4.8, but wondering the whole time, how long will they last? I see you posted this comment 3 years ago, are you still running these? If not, how long did they last? I mean at that price, who cares really I guess, buy a new one and swap them out every summer if need be I guess🤷🤣 but genuinely curious how long they held up for ya? Running these GT35s under the EMusa name on forged 6.0 twin turbo lemans. So far so good. Biggest change going from a single t-70 to twin GT35s. 1 The exhaust chop is 100 times better with the dauls. 2 Motor wraps up so much faster then before with the old single turbo. My old set up was a 6.0l trying to flow through one small turbo out one long 3" exhaust. I just think it was chocking the built 6.0. Now it has dauls with daul 3" exhaust. Builds boost almost instantly, revs so fast now and choppy enough to hear the SS2 now!

He did that test in another video in January, etched it yesterday. The single did spool earlier, both made the same power level, but I think the reason was he did the test on a smaller LS, and the back pressure was different - more on the single turbo, making it spool earlier. Cool video though. Definitely want to see these on a larger displacement motor and see if they spool earlier.

@@backinmotionchiropractic4371 The results were surprising. For whatever reason we would think the twins would spool better and have better response, but in Richards test up to around 1000HP, the appropriate sized single turbo for the power level seems to spool quicker, make more midrange torque and power than twins of half the power level. The dual turbos come into play when you need huge power numbers that a single can't support. Personally I like how twins "sound" better, so I would run them for that purpose and deal with a little less efficiency.

Even on things like an H22 (220hp) I don't think guys run anything smaller than a 0.82 on this size turbo. Now I am interested how these will do as twins on the 3800 II.

Could you do a Dyno comparison of a BBC or SBC firing order swap? there are lots of unanswered questions and myths about the effectiveness of the 4/7-2/3 or LS firing order swap on the older engines. I believe and can almost bet that the mixture inconsistency cyl to cyl does get fixed when running the LS firing order on BBC/SBC engines with CARBS. after i did my first swap ill never go back to a standard firing order again only custom grinds now. I notice reduced harmonics, increased bearing life and even wear journal to journal, and most importantly running a single carb the tuning was much easier to find the sweet spot (my guess is due to the cyl AFR's being more consistent). what are your thoughts on this?

L83 stage 2 BTR stage 2 in mine stock bottom turbo or no 🤣🤣🤙🏽 what's safer blower or turbo and what's the highest boost on stock bottom half. I'm thinking lt2 swap and a small turbo kit or super charger on the belt line instead of intake blower style that would be a great video

Hey Richard I'm getting my built 6.0 back if I make it out there you want to do a Dino on it and make a video on it should be a little over 11to1 wiseco Pistons k1 rods ARP main studs 243 or 799 heads with stainless steel valves and 660 springs. it's just got a stage 3 truck cam in it now but we could always swap a different cam in it too. We can put that blower on that. I'd like to see what it would do turbocharged too I think I'm going to end up putting turbos on it or nitrous at the least it'll be gapped at probably 25 or 30. I'm in Seattle but I could either ship it out or do a road trip and bring it out there. I don't know where in California you are but I know it's 18 hours to Holly weird from here.

I just like to find out if it will hold up on a daily driver that's not getting thrashed all the time. I have a 6.0 with only 9 to 1 compression this sounds like it would be just what that engine needs. My gas mileage sucks that I'm thinking it would help.

If those boost pressures are right, that is one of the worst cases of diminishing returns I have seen of Richards videos. I could understand it if back-pressure was going crazy. I do not think that is the case since they don't come on until 4000rpm.
