♥️!!! My mama made this for special occasions when we were growing up (although I don’t think her recipe called for a cup of butter 🙃) She also didn’t add the Oreos to the mix, it was layered with the cream cheese/cool whip mixture. She would serve it in a flower pot (put tin foil or plastic wrap at the bottom so the holes are covered) and would add gummy worms through out. She’d top it off with fake flowers and serve with a gardening spoon. Very 80s/90s Chic 😍

Sara, when my pull string chopper gets stuck and wont pull, if you hold the lid and turn it Upside down and shake it, it usually always moves what ever is up under the blade and works fine for me....just a little tip to try ( ;

You can put this in a flower pot. Stick in a plastic flower then put gummy worms on top. Just make sure some cookie crumbs are the last thing.so it looks like dirt

Making your own Pudding from scratch isnt hard and taste 100x better then that industrial chemical stuff. Just an inspiration for everyone. I used these so called instant puddings many years as well cause I didnt knew better. But making your own is an real eye opener :-)

I make Dirt Cake, using chocolate pudding plus the oreos. layer crumbled chocolate cake with the dirt pudding, top layer just oreo crumbles. layer it all inside a nice plant pot. wrap the base of some flowers in foil and "plant" them in the cake. use it as a table centerpiece. surprise everyone when you serve it with a little garden spade! don't forget to add a few gummy worms in the "dirt"

My mother in law introduced me to this but we call it dirt cake cause she layers it in a cake pan and we dont add the butter but it would be easier to make it your way since my husband first thing he does it stir it up lol

The rolling pin idea would have been better. Put cookies in a large zip lock bag, crush with rolling pin, dump them in recipe, and throw away the bag!! Cheaper, AND cleaner.

I brought a dirt cake to a family function. My brother was the only one who knew it was oreo cookies and pudding, and I had him take a spoonful of the dirt. Everyone freaked and it was so fun. I even had a fake plant in it to add to the joke.
