It's 2021 and I just stumbled across this video. I had an 06 cat 650 v2. I know it was a kawi power plant but the whole machine was amazing. The ground clearance, the 4 wheel drive, the styling, and as I said before the kawi power plant was great. I miss that machine and wish they still made them like that. This new company that bought them, well im a little skeptical.

@Clay51566 depends on the atv! smaller CC the air intake is lower so you can't go thru as much. but on like this one in video no it could go deeper. and it also depends on wear the intake is.

I know Canadians especially currently after inbreds park their trucks in the middle of roads, bridges and cities to protest the government doing its job. But! It's either a Wheeler, ATV or quad. Lol not a bike dammit a bike has 2 wheels not 4! Anyways old video but as always you guys did a great job. We all miss the real all American Arctic Cat company, the tiny little company who slaughtered the "big boys". Yeah they didn't sell sport machines and you poor guys stuck reviewing for individuals who wanted nothing but sporty. Arctic Cat never tried to fool anyone they built wheelin rigs meant for actual wheelin, as you already said their machines were barely just getting going when all others when all others were either stuck, broke down or left spinning waiting for us Arctic Cat owners to pull them out/pull them back home ruining the ride for all of us. Hope textron man's the hell up and has the same guys who built the now legendary Arctic Cat ATVs and Prowler/wildcat rigs, textron giving them the needed money to develope a FULLY MANUAL yes with a clutch pedal on the floor 5-6 speed UTV. Must have; 1000cc engine atleast say their own 951cc V-twin (mine is an animal unlimited torque and twice the HP needed to break any axle/diff. Real Arctic Cat suspension, say 16-18" travel with sway bars you can disconnect. Real Arctic Cat huge ground clearance, about 16-18" atleast, that's final ride height with drive, passenger, fuel and gear. Give it excellent seating and ergonomics like the wildcats yet alittle higher like prowler's. Give it a bed capacity of about 1500-1800pounds and towing of 2000 Build it as perfect as the final iterations of the thundercat ATV was for cooling, the massive radiator keeping it cool easily in the hottest and most humid days while slow technical crawling at higher rpms. Give it real Arctic Cat STEEL bumpers that help protect as much as possible. Build it with say a half ton Chevy Trucks differentials, half shafts, ball joints wheel bearings tierods and tierod ends. Lastly make a model that has seating for 4, like the Yamaha Rmax4 1000. The Havoc was close already. Lastly is has to sit on atleast 30" tires, with direct from you sizes ranging from 28"-35" Brakes as good as Arctic Cat has always been And gearing must be low in low range 1st gear, and high range can be peppy enough to enjoy it out on the trails with a top speed of say 65-70 that'd be dream come true Textron would easily and rapidly make millions and millions off of such a rig. It's impossible for manufacturers to know if a rig will be a waste of money for them or not so we understand. After all these years textron has done nothing besides rip off Arctic Cat horribly, nothing new only new sales strategies, which is absolutely correct and excellent and honestly I tip my hat to them as bass pro shop alone was genius. But they HAVE to step it up and they now need something as big as the original Wildcat was. This 5-6 speed fully manual sport utility UTV would be unbelievably market changing and generate unseen excitement and interest in Arctic Cat again. Textron has destroyed the brand with easily seen wall street greed type business practices guiding the company an they've lost all sight of who they are and what they are. I wish I was a lead engineer at the company as i legitimately grew up behind the biggest power sports dealer in our side of the state so I've been in this my entire life, and spent decades of wheelin everything. Arctic Cat being the most superior machine. Wake up Textron! Arctic Cat needs to regain it's hard fought for RESPECT by us, the people who want/need the machines you build. You need to make a big statement! A rig like this would sell like hot cakes making you incredible money. Yes it's be built properly so less would break if ever, but you'd make millions off of accessories/parts for buyers to adapt and personalize their rigs. And you can do the FIRST EVER sell kits to buyers. Say a farmer/working kit that raises bed capacity by 500-1000 pounds with stronger suspension, powered bed dump, different beds themselves available. A lighting kit which speaks for itself. An east coast trail kit with every type of skid plate available, winch's, bumpers and what not And even the tires, sell them from 28-33" or even a 35" so buyers can get exactly what they want from you from day 1! Along with rims Also make it available to police agencies, forest rangers and the military they all severely need a rig like this.

So, nowadays, you are a nerd if you drive an ATV......you must own a $30,000 Utv and travel great distances on groomed trails like snowmobiles to be cool now
@ArcticCatsRock12 жыл бұрын
I disagree. My polaris is not a very smooth ride at all. And my 450 arctic cat is faster then my buddies 500 can-am. Also Arctic cat designed the quad for farmers and mud. Yamaha... Meh.
