Nope... slip sooo fast in mud, wear poorly, balance poorly, hydroplane easily... very not worth the money unless you live in the southwest and are willing to rotate them every 3k miles, or deal with bad ride and noise after the first 5 or 6k miles.

Evolution Glitch I rotate every 10 thousand kilometres, wore evenly and worked very well. Last set I replaced had almost 110 K on them. One of the best all terrain I have found. Ran them on an 08 Tundra. Thought I would try the Cooper AT3 XLT’s this time. Wish I hadn’t changed already. No where even close to the BFG in anything really

I've been running KO2s on my two 4-Runners in WA, CO, UT, NV and CA back country, since they replaced the KOs, and can confidently say your review is spot on. They hit the sweet spot of being really good at everything except gooey clay mud. I am getting over 40k miles before thinking of replacing them, and have never had a flat. I'd add one thought - they also stay in balance remarkably well. I run 275s. Great review.

Living in British Columbia, Canada we get 4 seasons plus we are Coastal so lots of rain/snow to quickly change the dry road you just rode in on. The M+S or Snowflake symbol is enforced regulation over our high mountain passes during winter. Travel corridors such as our #5 Coquihalla Hwy can suddenly offer snow over the summit in May/June when everything else is clear and dry. My work has me driving 3-4 hrs out on a weekly basis so there is always a handful of changing road & weather conditions I face on a regular basis not to mention our own recreational activities. My wife & I run KO2 A/T's on our Jeeps (daily drivers) and on our little Tracker (our street legal side by side). Been using KO2's since they came out in 2015. Not afraid to wheel hard with them. Yes, the M/T's are better for the dedicated off-road & mud however I'm specifically talking A/T's here as we are running a heavy sum of highway kilometers/miles. Summary: Even at less than 75% tread here's my feedback: For light-mid duty vehicles I'm set on the KO2's. For heavy duty, I see them being used however I personally would do more comparing with other brands/types if I ran a heavier duty rig (just my honest opinion) in more demanding conditions. Talk to the logging, mining & oil field operational folks for better feedback. That said ... KO2 A/T's Heavy rain/pooling on hwy - no major hydroplaning issues. Keeping in mind I'll run a set for 3 years, all year, without swapping. Snow - very good traction. Deeper snow, well that depends on your clearance. My Jeep has 4.5" lift on 33's x 12.5 with locker. I'm happy! Carry chains? Our other Jeep (stock) has 31's × 10.5 & 235's on the 'Zuke' ... all are happy all year round. Ice - In the past I ran studded Blizzak tires and yes they were awesome however I'd get pulled over for running studs in the city after driving back down from the high mountain pass. With or w/o studs they tended to hydroplane in the lower valley wet/melt conditions. Running the KO2 A/T's during icey conditions with a bit of weight I'm staying on the road still, starting/stopping with minimal slip. Basically not driving like a moron is the key. No such thing as 4 wheel stop on ice so 'Slow the hell Down!' Mud - KO2 A/T's slip a bit more however it hasn't left me at all devastated. Whereas my buddy with the M/T's (same general tread wear) will keep fairly straight I might fish tail a tad. We're talking +5% differance but not enough for my tears 😭 to start flowing. Again, what's your weight, clearance, capability & experience? And, ...don't bite into more than you can 'chew'! Sandy beaches etc. Not bad! I have a bit more 'float' on the 12.5's especially when aired down however our other Jeep on its skinnier 10.5" wide KO2's does practically as good. Hey, ... pick an intelligent line and don't dig down! Rocks & Rocky Terrain - I have enjoyed the performance of the KO2 A/T's on rock +80%. Have not slit my sidewalls...🤔 yet. Conclusion: Great tires if you do a lot of highway but like to go run off and explore overland at a moments notice. Fairly popular & easy to find them in any town that sells tires if you do happen to destroy one. Reasonable price point. There are better tires for dedicated mudding, rock crawling, stump-jumping, or crushing cars like Bigfoot. For your daily driver the KO2 A/T's are very much worth one's time and money to discover.

I love the KO2s I put on my FJ Cruiser! They have been amazing in snow, both on highway and off road. They absolutely crush it in the rocks, and do surprisingly well in the peanut butter mud we tend to get here in Colorado. I've had them for 2.5 years, and was very happy BFG made the LT285/70/17 in a C Load Rating after I asked them to for several months. This allowed me to keep most of the acceleration and braking performance, while having a much tougher tire for the off roading I do.

I’ve used a lot of different tires over the years. Always end up back at KOs and now KO2s. No, they aren’t the best for some things, they’re ATs, they aren’t supposed to be the best for some things. BUT, for the price, they wear well and do most things satisfactorily . They’re pretty quiet on the road, they do sand , some mud, they aren’t mud tires , but can get you through normal mud you may happen upon. I live in the south, so snow is just not on the menu, but I’m told they do ok, I wouldn’t know. I run them on everything truck we have, from the k5 blazer to the 2500 Hd Duramax , The wrangler, all out stuff. I’m done trying new stuff, for an AT, these just work for me.

I had a set of these on my Jeep for years. After they wore out I replaced them with set of BF Goodrich KM3. After modifying my Jeep during the covid19 bs. I wanted more grip. So I could go to the places I couldn't go to before. These KM3's are pretty good on the highway and definitely great offroad in mud and on these dusty rock covered trails here in northern Nevada. @@bigslacker666 On the highway they both work great. The KO2's definitely had less noise in my Jeep. Offroad the KM3's definitely more gripping power, the KO2's do well offroad especially when new. I admit the KO2's are better in snow on the street driving, the KM3's are okay, a bit slippery on ice but do very well in snow mud mix offroading. I hope this is what you're looking for.

I loved my KO2's on my XJ. Quiet and smooth on the streets and highways, yet nice and grippy on the dirt, rocks, sand and mud on the trails. They did so well as a "Jack of All Trades" tire, that I bought another set for my JL Wrangler Islander. Hopefully they'll last 50,000 miles or so. So I have ran KO2s for the past 5 years on my 15 wrangler daily driver and weekend warrior. My 35/12.50r17 running at 22 psi have been incredible for me. Your review is spot on! I'm going to comment on all your points as per my personal experience with the KO2's on my 2018 Denali HD Duramax with LT265/60R20 load E. Daily driver, plowed for two years, tow a 36' 5th wheel camper, and just replaced my KO2's with another set after 60,000 miles, probably could have gotten another 10K out of them but I live in Western New York and we're supposed to get a 'once in a generation' snow storm so I played it safe...to the tune of $1,550. Anyway, I love these tires.I run them at 75 psi rear and 70 psi front, only rotated three times, perfectly even wear So here goes: Mud: agree. They suck in the mud. Road manners: agree, awesome on road. Very quiet, fantastic handling on both wet and dry roads. Sand: no personal experience in sand. Snow: amazing snow performance! GREAT for plowing or just for not getting stuck! Unless there's mud under the snow! Rocks: no experience with rock-climbing, but definitely awesome on unpaved dirt or stone roads. And curbs...😉. The BF Goodrich KO2's are definitely a great tire for my needs.

I have 30,000 miles on mine and they still look like new and are dead quite on the pavement. Their snow performance is outstanding. I bought a Wrangler in '19 and decided to upgrade the OEM wheels and tires. I drive mostly on paved roads but live near the desert and mountains and about an hour from the ocean. I also sometimes take the Jeep on long, multi-state camping and hiking trips (1,200 and 3,000 mile road trips so far). I therefore wanted something quiet and well behaved on the highway with good wear characteristics, but also good for sandy mountain and desert two tracks with an occasional dry wash-out to cross, as well as beach driving. I don't do mud or rock crawling, nor do I live where it snows or even rains that much, so those thing were not a consideration. After a lot of research I went with 33" BFG KO2 in 285/70/17. Two years later I'm still very satisfied with my choice. They're good at everything I use them for and they still look and drive like new.

Those tires wear like iron and work ridiculously well. My friend is going to get at least another 10k out of his probably more because he doesn't want to buy tires or can't. That's the second set of tires I've given him lol he's not getting another set. I just put a new set of ko2's on my wife's Cherokee so hopefully they do as well as the ko1s. I have had them in deep snow aired down and they're ok. On ice is another story, but that is to be expected they have a real hard tread compound. You almost never get punctures with the KO2's. The ice traction problem is easily solved with a set of chains, and a good quality set is very easy to install. If you're in any western state, your supposed to be carrying them anyway. I wouldn't give up every thing else that a KO2 does extremely well for that.
